Who is the target market for Ford Maverick?

2022 Ford Maverick is a Big Winner with Millennials and Gen Z, and that's No Cap

I am just curious, how many of us are Millennial or GenZ?

It is not age group it is an economic group.
that's not true either. there are many maverick owners that can afford more, but don't see a need. frugal. I am sure there are people who really wanted a Ranger or F-150 but 'settled' for a Maverick based on price, but I think they're a minority.

Guess I would fit in the boomers (75 years old). 1st truck (Maverick) was ordered 8/22/23, build date is week of 9/2/24. Have always thought of trucks as a gas penalty when not used to tow so have been staying away from them, keeping a with smaller SUV's that gives me good mileage when not towing and similar to most none diesel trucks when towing (upper 20's around town and 14-16 towing). But when I decided to go with a hybrid snowmobile trailer I needed something to tow more than the 3500lbs of my 2020 Escape. The 4K is perfect for me and plenty of room in the cab for what I need. Loosing a few options going with the Mav from my Titanium Escape, but can live without most of them. Never even used parking assist. Can't remember when I last parralell parked. lol

Dad was born in 39 so... he probably didn't do anything. But from what I was told Boomer generation ends the year I was born. So I'm kinda on the bubble.

The key is, what was your dad doing during the war?
I'm definitely GenX. my dad turned 18 in 1974 so he wasn't in any wars. my grandfathers (2 + 1 step-) all fought in vietnam, one of them in an AC-47 gunship. he's in the registry, Locke: http://www.specialoperations.net/Spooky.htm

his stepson sold all his medals and other memorabilia. I talked to my dad, aunt and uncle and none of them really had any interest in getting them back because he wasn't as successful in family life as he was in military life.

I think Ford's vision was the Millennial and GenZ city dweller. But the Boomers and Late Boomers that Identify with GenX are snatching them up like hotcakes.

exactly my point, so they need to make changes for the demographics that are actually buying the truck, ie do not put the AC control on a touch screen.

My late cousin was there in 67 as a Green Beret, actually went back for a second go. We were all very proud of him, unfortunately, I’m convinced it turned him into an alcoholic. Ruined his marriage, ended up dying on a park bench in his mid 50’s outside the VA hospital in SA.

sorry to hear that.. but yes similar, not as bad. the best thing about my grandad is that he got into personal computing very early. he had an IBM pc jr and I thought it was cool as hell, although slow. I've been into technology ever since.
