I have had my Maverick about five months and just noticed that the front sensors fail to alert me when I approach a post while parking, or even the garage door. I have two Ford Escapes and the front sensors tell me when I am close, and whether the object is left, right, or center the bumper. Is that not suppose to be a feature on the Maverick?

The Maverick has no front parking sensors.
I wish it was offered though since my depth perception has changed since loosing most vision in my left eye 15 years ago. In the first week of Mav ownership I tapped the bumper on a post without damage and since then seem to park too far away from objects. I know….first world problem🙄

My goodness, that is a surprise, but good to know.

Just a thought.
How about a small aftermarket backup STYLE camera that normally mount to the rear license plate.
I know you're in Florida and Florida does not require front license plate.
Otherwise you could use the front license plate mounting.
Without a front plate, you have to get a little creative.
One could be mounted to the front grill or bumper. Unlike sensors no drilling holes in your bumper, if you don't want to.

Good luck.

Thank you everyone for your quick responses. I am lucky I did not hit anything. I am use to using the front sensors on the Ford Escapes for the past 10 years. This was a surprising result.

I haven't ever had front sensors, but I can understand the appeal. When I first got backup sensors option for $215 back when I purchased a 2002 Explorer, it was the best money I had spent.

Agree.... Really should have been on the Maverick Lariat at least. I'm wondering if their are settings in forescan to enable front sensors if we grab two and wire them up to the ACM?

I've never had rear parking sensors before my Lariat, but I really do like them. Yeah, I wish I had them on the front also. I guess now you can get the front ones on the '25. I calibrated my eyes for the truck by (carefully) pulling up close to my other vehicles at home while leaving extra room until I knew how close they really were.

I've owned the Maverick since 1/10/2024 and I still can't judge the Maverick front end placement as accurately as I did on my Nissan Frontier (Which sat about 2 1/2" higher than stock). My wife even more so having moved from her Honda CRV. Probably going to do the tennis ball hanging from the ceiling in the carport for my wife (and by wife, I mean me..).

yes, this is one of many reasons that the Escape costs more than the Maverick.

Escape doesn't even get front parking sensors until you get up to the very top trims - Platinum, ST-Line Elite, PHEV + Premium Package, MSRPs over $37,000. Thus relatively few Escapes have that feature.
fair enough, but the OP's profile pic shows a Lariat. it's a different situation if he has a XL or XLT and was expecting front sensors.

Ya, have them on our Hyundai and you get so you rely on them. The Maverick's hood is deceptive in that I perceive it to be longer than it actually is. I'm constantly leaving too much space up front and since the truck is long I have to get back in the cab and move it up more so my rear end isn't sticking out. I like Glen's idea of mounting a backup cam in the front, but you have to realize you won't be getting any warning beeps.

it's funny this post showed up. I was just online yesterday looking at sensors to see if it was possible to rig something up on the front end. I was thinking of either a backup camera or you can buy sensors with auditory alerts. but the camera might be the easiest
