Let's start with I'm lazy to max, but is not about that, sometimes I have my hands full of stuff from the super market, or wet from the rain and now I need to put all my stuff at the floor to get the key out just to open the Doors. Also the convenience of not having to deal with keys, I would pay to be able to don't carry Keys at all, something like able to connect to my smartwatche( yes i don't wanna carry not even my phone), I'm a pretty on the go person, the less things on me or my pockets the more free I feel.

I know my case is a regular one, but is just about having the option, if it cost a bit more it should be up to the customers to decide where to put their $$.
I often tell my wife that one of the reasons I like her coming with me places is because she carries a small purse where I can put my keys, wallet etc. so I get it. She doesn't necessarily like it when I say that but hey.. especially nowadays it's an issue where it seems like they think everybody wants an iPad sized phone. I have a house with a TV I don't watch my movies on my phone so I would love to have just a reasonable size smartphone and would be great to be able to go keyless as well I think

The "simplifying" of the order options that Ford has done has made a major impact on certain configurations, as has already been mentioned. I just built a '25 with the same options as the '24 I ordered (XLT/ZX4/4K) and, due to the extra options I must accept to get them (lux, CP360), the '25 would be $3860 more expensive. Yikes!

Granted, those options are probably worth the premium to some, but I'm sure glad I wasn't forced into them.
Yeah that's the problem there are a lot of things that are part of a package now and maybe if you add them all together there could be a slight discount compared to before if you bought them separately but not everybody wants all of that stuff. But to get some of the stuff there you want you have to buy the whole package but maybe that's the point. Maybe they think you'll want that 400 watt inverter in the bed enough to buy the stuff in the luxury package you don't really want or whatever the thing is you want

Yep, I'm the same way, love my smartphone convenience but some times just leave it home and rock my smartwatch It have a data plan so I really could go days without touching my phone if I want to.

I been camping and the freedom of no Keys, phone, no tv, no news is simply beautiful.

It's a cost saving measure for Ford. The more they combine/force content into the configurations, the fewer combinations of options they have to account for in the build process. This usually happens to some degree when model refreshes occur.

Sad if you want an XLT in Eruption green and don't want the blackout package you are stuck with the blue interior. Can't be anymore expensive for FORD to offer the black interior which goes with every exterior color option. I'll stick with my Alto Blue 2023 with all the discontinued features.
agree- green exterior and blue interior? no thx....

Some people asked why the horsepower and torque went down for 2025. Ford added a new gas particulate filter to meet emissions requirements and this reduces the maximum horsepower that Ford can deliver.

I know it's probably posted out here somewhere but am I reading this right on the build? Can you only get the power sliding rear window and the wireless charging pad on the lariat? You can't even get it as an option with the XLT or the XLT luxury package?

Wonder if this in the 25 ? Getting a bit Orwellian imo

Ford (NYSE:F) Gains after Revealing New Pickup (Maverick)

All This and…Privacy Concerns?
While this slate of features certainly sounds exciting, there’s also some less savory issues to consider. Ford has reportedly filed a new patent for a new police tool known as “Systems and Methods for Detecting Speeding Violations.”

The patent details how included systems in the car itself would detect other vehicles on the road that are breaking speed limits and notify authorities accordingly. The car would then photograph the passing speeder with onboard cameras, and relay said photos, GPS data, and more to the authorities for processing and potential pursuit later, turning essentially every Ford with the equipment in place into a rolling snitch.

Cheers

Those features are Lariat exclusive, yes.

I heard it was CA emissions related, so this seems in line.

Since CA is forcing electric cars, they might as well de-tune our gas cars. Ugh.

Geez I guess they're really trying to push that lariat package? I guess wireless Android auto is good enough for me although I would like the charging as well. Power rear window does sound nicer but hey what are you going to do. We all knew this was going to happen they came out with a bare Bones truck or one that even pretty well equipped is still affordable but then it would get popular and it's going to get more expensive. The next thing is it's going to grow bigger and bigger in the next generation until 10 years from now it'll be as big as an F-150 and the F-150 will be as big as an F-350 and the F350 will basically be a small school bus. Then they'll come out with a new small truck and call it the Pinto.....

I'm just starting my search to order a new Maverick and I saw on reddit there's a good offer for Chapman Ford in Northeast Philadelphia. I saw the message on there from Ed Simpson with the offer. I just wanted to see on here if that's a good dealership to work with because I want to jump on it if they're trust worthy. Should I order through them?

I've heard good things about Chapman but haven't dealt with them. There's one in hatboro as well. I'm in Bucks county.

I was reading up on them I was told not to go near the Hatboro location, I've been hearing good things about the Philly location. It's like night and day apparently.
