Has anyone purchased the premium maintenance package for their new Ford Maverick? And if so may I ask what it cost per month.
I did purchase the maintenance package. They told me that because I was a Car Pro VIP that I automatically got a discount. I think I'm paying 118.00 a month.
They told me that with the package all I have to do is pay for gas and tires. The maintenance package pays for everything else.
Any thoughts?

That seems very expensive to pay for maintenance during a 3+ year period where you really should have almost very little maintenance costs?

You should only really need oil changes, fluid checks, and maybe air in your tires. No need to spend additional coins on the simple stuff.

Also, the factory warranty will cover you for a few years. No reason to GIVE them $1400 per year.

Like what term is the payment and how long is it supposed to cover? Like if it was only $1416 (12 months) for 5 years coverage maybe it'd be worth it. 3 years would definitely be cutting it close.

OP, you talking about this Ford Premium Maintenance plan?:
https://fordprotect.ford.com/premium-maintenance-plan
You're paying $118 for how many months?
Car Pro VIP? What's that, and what do they do for you?
Who is this "they" that told you that because you are a Car Pro VIP that you automatically got a discount?
1st thought is you got ripped off.
2nd thought is this can't possibly be a real question.

Is this your review I see on the Elk Grove Ford site?
"So far so good. I ordered a new Ford Maverick. I haven't purchased it yet as it's being built. I am very pleased with Elk Grove Ford.

From this site?

I was just poking around there trying to find out what "Car Pro" does and found that. I still don't understand what advantage it gives any buyer, but sounds more like an unnecessary middle-man that just complicates any car buying experience.

Rachel Wood is pretty hot though, so good job there:

They saw you coming, didn't they?

$118 a month for a new truck, NO WAY.

That said I am thinking about getting a service plan but won't be sitting down with the dealer until Dec. So any input on what people are paying and what's covered would be greatly appreciated. This will be my first new buy so have very little exp with dealership's.

For that price I thought it would include tires.

I looked up this Car Pro and for the life of me I can't figure out what they actually do.

Watched the video, sounds like a realtor (buyer's agent) for cars.

Her message is a bit self-defeating for the dealership's reputation:
Effectively, "Pay us (e.g. $118+/mo) and we'll hold off the dogs (salesmen) and also tell you what you want to buy based on profiling your needs."

I purchased a maintenance plan. It added about 2k to the total price, it’s a 5year 100k mile plan that covers all maintenance items, besides tires. I went with the 5k mile oil change interval. With all the oil changes and every maintenance interval item included I felt it was worth it.

remember this is a negotiable item. If your thinking about a extended warranty, or a service plan. Go in to finance with hard numbers. Print a quote from flood ford and know what your willing to pay.

So $2k into 60 months=$33 month roughly.

Not being a smart alec, what is your personal driving needs that you feel makes this a good purchase for you? Do you commute a lot monthly, lots of "hard" driving, etc?

How many of the maintenance item's are you going to use up monthly that justify the expense?

Just what the heck are you going to be doing to your car that you think $118 month in maintenance coverage is needed?
