Aftermarket Axles: Show your interest!

My truck just had both CV axles replaced at 19,780 miles! Yes I have Eibach lift springs but there's no way axles shpuld fail under 20k and the service manager at the dealership agrees.

There Are plenty of CV axle failures on stock Mavericks. I'm honestly not sure I can blame the lift though I'm sure it doesn't help. At this rate I’ll be on my 4th set by the time the 60,000 mile power train warranty expires!

Regardless yeah I’m definitely interested in some quality aftermarket options. Thanks!

I think that lifting increases the probability of having CV joint issues, perhaps.

On another thread, someone pointed out discussions here where he cited some 12 or so threads showing axle/CV issues. Roughly half were lifted and half were not. But there are a heck of a lot more non-lifted Mavericks out there than lifted ones.

The broken axle poll on this forum shows 73.9% of people with broken axles / CV failures have stock height vehicles.

too few votes to draw much from it, except I would say it does support my observation that hybrid CV joints have failed more often than ecoboost. a lot more, probably.

My Maverick Ecoboost failed and I have 8 moths without my truck and without satisfactory solution from Ford Motor Company in Mexico.

I think that many of the problems that several of us have had with CV joints, Half shafts are due to poor quality engine and transmission mounts.

I have seen several owners complain about vibrations in the dashboard since new but Ford has always denied my hypothesis and despite the problems found by the dealer and the faults that my truck still presents and that the dealer knows, I have not had a solution for an exchange or good repurchase.

I’m in PROFECO with my complaint and monday have audience. I hope Ford give me a solition after all the time ago.

Suddering/vibration upon acceleration. Mine never made any noise I could hear but the vibration got increasingly worse over time.

Mine haven't failed and I track mine and it's lowered it but I'm still interested in some cv axles
