I remember when I was in high school slammed S10's were all the rage. I hope we aren't coming up on that era again.

I still think they should've rebranded the current Ranger as the F100 and then called the Maverick the Ranger but I'm a product of the 80s/90s, so maybe that's driving my perspective?
What would that make the mav? The F-75? F-50?

Guess the 20% doesnt like it being lowered.. Yeah we get it. But this car will be lowered way more than ruining it with a lift and mud tires. You are just making a joke out of yourself. Might as well put mud tires on a honda accord... This is what i see

Or that silly Carolina squat, all in the same book as raised, big tire maverick.. But hey who i am i to judge 😉

I never understood the lowering fad for trucks as it takes away so much of the usefulness you buy the truck for in the 1st place? I Wonder how much this compromises the bed payload and towing capability of the Maverick

I just don't understand hacking up a brand new car. If it's an older car sure, but the resale value on this has to of cratered.

An old friend of mine slammed an S10 and swapped in a 305 and it was nothing but problems. This is also Michigan where it was useless in the winter and the poor road surfaces basically made the car vibrate off the road.

Why do so many people feel the need to comment that its "not my style, I just dont understand... blah blah blah..." ??

Lifting a vehicle and putting AT tires on it so you can drive it down the highway every day to your desk job seems a lot more pointless to me. But I don't go pissing in anyone's cereal on a post about putting a lift on... or taking perfectly good tires off to spend $800 on another set because they look "aggressive"

I guess when this truck was posted for discussion I didn't realize it was only for positive comments.

I find raised trucks ridiculous but slightly less ridiculous. I feel a Raptor and TRX is a compensation device. I'm leaving my Maverick stock. I think it will be fine the way it is.

If you use the right components it can increase the payload and ride quality. The truck highlighted in this thread is not that version. I love the look of lowered vehicles, but I bought this truck to get better around in the winter so I probably wont mess with it.

Its not only for positive comments.. a few people commented on how the rear is saggy. Thats a constructive comment. But if you're not interested in the subject at all then I don't see your comment contributing anything to the post.. it takes attention away from people who are actually interested in lowering they're vehicles.

Looks Great! I was on the fence weather to lift my Mav (not scheduled yet) with a Bronco Sport leveling kit or to lower it. Seeing an actual one and not a rendering has me leaning toward lowering. Can't wait for some sort of aftermarket kit which hopefully will be out by the time I get my Mav.

I also grew up in the era of lowered trucks, usually S10’s and Toyotas… convertible hard top Toyotas. And it was awesome. As a mid 40s guy I fully support the fun those will have doing mods and will live vicariously through them.
