Florida is about 3 days into a 1,000yr rain event and Teslas should be exploding all over the state by now. :ROFLMAO:
Governor Desantis just signed a law that removed the mention of"climate change" from all Florida government documents and laws. And just in the nick of time. How bad would the rains be if 'climate change' was real?

Hey @Decayed ,@Ozarkbeard ,@fossil, @SLINGSHOT or anyone who posts in these threads. Show me how much seat time you fucking got behind the wheal of an EV.
triggered much?
I'm glad for EVs though not for me.

Wheal: A raised, itchy (pruritic) area of skin that is sometimes an overt sign of allergy. Not all wheals are alike.

$10k and I'll drive down and pull it out myself. I expected a much more "stuck" vehicle.

I've owned an EV for just over 18 months with right around 8,800 miles(14K KM)under my belt and honestly it's the best vehicle I have ever owned. It's good in the rain and the snow but I admit I have never taken it off roading but it's not that kind of vehicle.

I also admit that there can be draw backs like cold weather but temps here in Central Illinois can get pretty chilly but I've never felt like I can't drive it in the cold. Charging infrastructure is another drawback but that will change with time.

Anyway, @Hunters Edge I'm curious on how much seat time you have behind the wheel of an EV? My guess is not much if any but I could be wrong.
As it is I will not buy an EV, to many things against it right now. Maybe in the future but not now. Of course if I'm hoping they make it more practical, safer and a lot better infrastructure. Then again if I'm hoping might as well hope for an engine that doesn't produce carbon dioxide. Unfortunately I don't have a crystal ball nor you. If your happy with an EV kudos. When you have 200,000 miles on one get back with me.

Sounds like another disadvantage of living in a Northern climate.

🥶
Yeah cold is a huge problem with EV. You can cut towing expectations in half. Also bitter cold even on a charger you might not get a full charge and it can have a reduced battery life. There are times we get in the 20 below and that's not a wind chill. It's why I opted for a engine block heater on the Maverick. Also with off road limitations because of this article it is another nail in the coffin.

I think in certain situations it can be a win. My situation no way. Also in rural my electric is high. Even with the grid I have now multiple brown outs and frequent power outages.

It's not something I'm even entertaining to get at this time
