I guess you do not comprehend butIt is literally the title of your thread.
( reason ) is the word that changes it from me telling someone not to buy an EV. I did not write do not buy a EV

That is the dumbest, most pedantic response I've ever seen. Trying to weasel words your way out of this apparently.I did not write do not buy a EV
I beg your pardon read it slowly you might understand it.That is the dumbest, most pedantic response I've ever seen. Trying to weasel words your way out of this apparently.
Nah, I read it. You're pulling a pretty typical disingenuous troll practice. It's fairly transparent.I beg your pardon read it slowly you might understand it.

No, definitely not trolling. Just your perception. It definitely wasn't intended. Just to prove it, I won't post anymore on this particular thread.Nah, I read it. You're pulling a pretty typical disingenuous troll practice. It's fairly transparent.
Yeah I know. I mean I probably wouldn't take my VWf Golf and drive through the hills. I know the rivians a truck but it's horses for courses. You could rupture a gas tank while towing a I don't get it. Different technologies have different pluses and minuses. So when/ if solid state batteries become a reality that we don't have to worry about this issue then what?By your reply, others can see the same for you. How about being constructive and figuring away to one get it out of the ditch? Two to figure away to correct this issue and allow EV's to be pulled from a ditch and or diverse terrain? Until then it's a major issue that shouldn't be ignored or made fun of. I do like the humor in your post though.
Yeah make the batteries lighter. While at it. They should also just make an engine that gets 7,000 mi per gallon. Of course they're working hard to make batteries lighter and more energy dense. Solid state batteries are the plan for that. But the batteries are placed in the perfect location for normal off-road driving, it gives a low center of gravity which is preferable. They're not placed, ideally for off-roading but I wouldn't really take this thing in any kind of rough off-roading type situation.Stuff happens and I ain't gonna judge but EV's are really heavy which is not ideal for off roading.
And of course as the article states, the battery pack is badly placed. They make skid plates for stuff for a reason. To me, this is the kind of engineering oversight that tells me that they aren't truly ready for prime time. Make the batteries significantly lighter and figure out how to build and protect them so they aren't a fire hazard and we can talk.
Seriously? Not looking to get political cuz there's no point point and you're not allowed out here. And I think there's Insanity on both sides, but this is a little odd from a party that's for freedom. I mean it's almost like 1984..... If you don't say it then it's not real?Governor Desantis just signed a law that removed the mention of"climate change" from all Florida government documents and laws. And just in the nick of time. How bad would the rains be if 'climate change' was real?
If those are truly logical reasons and I'm not saying they're all not logical then okay. But the reality is it's more just nostalgia and you're used to what you used to. And you're probably consuming a lot of media that is against EVS for reasons other than practicality. There are plenty of EVS with 200,000 mi on them. The reality is real car companies, not Tesla in my opinion, could easily and should easily be able to make EVS that last much longer. Especially once solid state batteries come online. I work with electric motors and as anyone knows they have much fewer moving parts then a ice. An internal combustion engine is very inefficient and is trying to melt itself all the time. You don't have that with an electric motor. It's just a question of battery technology And cost. Even old heads I know don't buy a gas weed wacker anymore, at least most of them. I would imagine the vast majority of the people who read these posts regarding EVS from you and others and agree with you are already convinced to never get one.As it is I will not buy an EV, to many things against it right now. Maybe in the future but not now. Of course if I'm hoping they make it more practical, safer and a lot better infrastructure. Then again if I'm hoping might as well hope for an engine that doesn't produce carbon dioxide. Unfortunately I don't have a crystal ball nor you. If your happy with an EV kudos. When you have 200,000 miles on one get back with me.
