2024 Lariat what's missing in this picture

My early build date (10/23) '24 Lariat does have it installed also. Sounds like either a supply shortage or a running change. More likely: just a QC omission due to the rapid ramp up in production.

Just checked my 2024 Lariat hybrid, built 5/8/2024, it does not have the part either.

Sounds like a hassle to get a dealer to ‘fix’.

I've been googling that part number - LJ6Z-7806200-A and while it mostly comes up with 'glove box support', it also says does not fit a 2024 Maverick?

From the diagrams on the part, see two loops that indicate it bolts to something? Where would it attach? Seems like just a big hole on that side of the dash?

My MY2024 built in very late Dec 2023 (it was literally built the week of Christamas) and delivered early Jan 2024 DOES HAVE the glove box strut damper...

3/24 XLT Hybrid no Lux package - no damper.

Probably Lariat thing only then - perhaps depends on what package?

Great very much appreciated. I see the post it attaches to in my truck too. Time to get one ordered. Absolutely no desire to even broach the subject with my dealer/service dept. But I will send pics to my salesman for his edification!

My 2024 Hybrid purchased in April 2024 also does not have the strut. Has anyone had any luck getting the dealer to install it?

Emailed the dealer I purchased from. They said they could reimburse me for the part, but to talk with my local dealer first.

Local dealer said they need to take pictures to submit to ford and then they can get the part for me. My service guy has always been great, so I’m pretty confident he will get it resolved.

After hitting many online parts ordering sites, I chose Auto Nation Parts (.com) because they had the most reasonable shipping to N. California.

Part: $20.26
Shipping: $4.88
Tax: $1.47

Total: $26.61

Pretty much all the other places wanted > $11.00 just for shipping. Part price was within $1 of each other.

After having 3 charges from Auto Nation show up as pending (never went through), and one follow up email from me, today I received a notice that the part is not available from any of their sources. They were removing the hold on my CC. Checked, hold not removed, and a 2nd charge is now pending. Sigh

Now have an order in through Broadway Truck, total price $26.26. Will provide updated info with link once I have an actual part in hand.
