I have a 2024 xlt awd at 6,000 Miles. My drivers side front door at times locks on its own while the other doors remain unlocked. Took it in to the dealer and they could not find any issues. Anyone else have this problem?

It happens to me when I leave the keys in the ignition, but off.
Just one of those "oh poop moments" until I open the back door.

2024 hybrid Lariat = yes, a ghost seemingly locked only the driver's door a couple of times. I blamed myself for hitting the lock lever at the same time I reached for the door release handle.

This happens to me all the time and no... I'm not hitting the lock when I open the door. I've checked many times. And of course my dealer couldn't replicate it, so...
It was happening to me a lot, to the point I was going to take it to the dealer, then I read the threads about inadvertently locking it with your hand. Now that I'm aware, it hasn't happened again.

It's not your imagination many of us have the issue. My 22 did and now my 24. The dealers know they keep windows down while they are in the building. I did a test a few weeks ago left my window down with the keys on the dash. 3 out of 5 tries the door was locked. Maybe it's possessed who knows. But your not bumping the lock.

No I looked at the lock and don't see how that could be it based upon how I open the door.

Happy to hear I'm not nuts. My 2022 XLT, luxury pkg does this very intermittently so no big deal, plus I have the pin pad. And yes, only the drivers door 😞.

A lot of dealers keep a window down because they've locked keys in many vehicles before.

Hey there. I would like to take a closer look at this lock issue on my end. Can you please send over your VIN and estimated mileage so I can start looking into this on my end?

Wow, please explain why I kept the window down on every vehicle I worked on 20 years ago before the Maverick existed.

Yep this happens to me ALL THE TIME. It's extremely annoying and I find it hard to believe Ford didn't find this issue during testing. Simply put, it's a design flaw. It's embarrassing at the gas station when I have to walk around to the passenger side to unlock the drivers side.

Yea if you bumped the button they would all do it, not just one.

Something's screwy here.

It isn't bumping the button. It is bumping the actual pointy plastic manual lock lever that is "out"/not flush when unlocked and "in"/flush when locked/bumped with a hand pulling on the door handle. Bumping it pushes it back flush with the rest of the door handle and locks the door. I'm not sure why so many folks are like "IT IS SO MYSTERIOUS....IT ONLY HAPPENS TO THE DOOR THAT A HUMAN IS EXITING AND NONE OF MY OTHER DOORS WHERE A PASSENGER DIDN'T TOUCH ANYTHING.....SO WEIRD!"
