LOL, I’m 65 and in the same league as you!WOW! Your idea of a DIY installation is advanced engineering to me, especially when it comes to electronics.
Being a 68yo I was raised on points & plugs, condensers, distributor caps, lights and a radio being a vehicle's electronics, but I appreciate the effort and ingenuity of you folks enhancing a modern vehicle.

This is amazing. I can't get my truck to hold lower than 3rd gear going down mountains loaded. With this modification, can you hold lower than 3rd gear, and would that be advisable?
It will kick out of gear and resume back to normal operation, but it's based on the computers parameters. If I downshift to 5th, and then cruise as normal it will just go back to auto. But if I shift down to 4th and I'm accelerating and decelerating and driving sporty it will hold the gear much longer. So the answer is... Maybe? Lol
Yeah the wires to the PCM are wrong, you have them in slots 4,5&6, they need to be in slots 5,6&7

will move them tomorrow and see if that fixes it”I moved the red signal return from pin 4 to the pin 7 on the pcm and is still not working. Not sure what I did wrong. Does it have something to do with the steering wheel buttons? I put the factory wheel buttons on so I could have radio control. I'm sorry, I lied. I looked at the diagrams again and how you had them and it looks like you had it right.
I'm not sure why it's not working then, unless your pins aren't seated down all the way and aren't making the connection with the PCM. I know when I did mine it definitely took some good effort to get the pins into the slot and seated all the way.
If that's good then I think you need to take another look at FORScan and make sure everything there is set up correctly.
