@Vtec87pr1 you're such an influencer and trend setter!
Hope you get some kickback 💸💶💸 from Ford for helping them realize these were needed/wanted upgrades.

Everything working according to the tutorial. Steering wheel purchased in Spain from a Focus 4 for $140.

Gracias Antonio.

Amazing write-up and documentation. I'm really interested in doing this because I hate the way this thing shifts. I'm curious about @ChuckVan 's question though. Could this be done with switches instead of paddle shifters that have to be swapped in? They asked about using a "joystick", but think just any momentary switch. One for up shift and one for down shift. Or an SPDT switch where up shifts up, and down shifts down within the same switch. We'd be able to mount it wherever we please like the center console (think automatics where you can upshift and downshift using the shifting handle). https://www.littelfuse.com/technica...ehicle-technical-center/poles-and-throws.aspx

I guess the main question is, are the paddle shifter switches complex switches with codes associated with them (like the steering wheel switches you said had to be reprogrammed or swapped from the explorer wheel), or are they just simple on/off switches?

Beyond that, I'm curious if you've made any progress with @chris@pandamotorworks? It looks like they claimed in another thread they could tune out the automatic upshift after a duration of time. Can Panda chime in here for confirmation about that?

Good questions. I’ve done this mod and I believe you can do that joystick thing you want (momentary switch). If they have the auto stick feature maybe the explorer or F150 shifter can be modded to fit the center console. If not just a regular shifter.
As far as the panda tune I’m curious as well.
