Absolutely, couldn't agree more.Like it or hate it. It's nice to see new products coming out and more companies given love to the Maverick.
I've had their equipment in a prior car for 25 years, and a current car for the past 15 years. During that time, it has been both baked in the sun and been run hard when the temp is -28 degrees F as my daily driver. I've used it in audio competitions. The subs in that prior car were installed in 1993 and I sold them In 2019 for more than I'd paid for them new. My garage speakers for the past 20 years are JL audio as well, now that I think about it. So I can attest to the longevity, durability, quality, and sound. They're pretty serious. Not even an amp with it. This is not a serious company.
exactly what I thought. $800-$1000 for a W1 is kind of annoyingIf it came with a better sub I'd consider it but not a basic sub.
Believe me, I know they are a respected company, and normally I like JL just fine. But if you are throwing that much money at a system for your Maverick, you can get well-made boxes with more volume, and put whatever sub you want in them - or you can just build a custom one. There are already many great setups out there that people have put under the rear seat. So I am not sure who this semi-turnkey setup is for... It offers the convenience that budget-consciuous shoppers usually look for, but then costs 2x the options that already exist. Just does not seem competitive at all.I have a stealthbox in another vehicle. It's unbelievably small. The price I paid was ridiculous, but how it performs is also ridiculous. They are top-notch. Would I buy this for my Mav at that price when there are other prefab enclosures made for that same space? Probably not. But I'm sure it looks, fits, and sounds great.

Not even a 10w1v3, it's a TW1 which is their entry level shallow mount.exactly what I thought. $800-$1000 for a W1 is kind of annoying
