What tuners can increase or disable the speed limiter?

Will any available tuners on the market increase or disable the speed limiter? I don't think forscan can disable it.

The speed limiter is in the PCM, and Forscan does not support PCM modifications. You need a hand held tuner.

Before you state things like that maybe think about what he’s doing. I’ve been over 108 in mine several time now.
I enjoy the thrill of speed. Same reason I pay for open track days so I can go as fast as I’m comfortable, turn as aggressively as I want and get a bit crazy.
He may also be a first responder which sometimes out by where I live you need to go a bit faster to get anywhere at a decent time.

Anyway Livernois raises the limit on the tunes they offer. 108mph doesn’t even get you half way down the straight at gratten or gingerman raceway.

Cobb sport tune won’t let me pass 108. On a closed circuit course of course.
Will have to try the OEM+ one.

I agree with the brick analogy. I doubt this little guy will go fast enough to get airborne. But for some who like to auto cross and track their Mav it would be something worth looking into.

Somewhere recently on this site was a list of items that forscan can alter, one did indicate that the speed limiter can be raised, but not removed. Would be interesting for someone to get a mild tune with the limiter removed, & under a controlled situation to see how fast one will actually go. I am thinking that around 130 you will be reaching the limits of aerodynamics-engine power/effectiveness of the intercooler. With a healthy tune upgraded intercooler a better intake & tires what would be the result. I am sure we will find out in the near future.
