Can you disable the panic alarm on the keyfob with ForScan?

I set it off in my pocket the other day, and since that was my BIGGEST pet peeve with my Fusion, I'm hoping there's a way to disable that useless and aggravating "feature" on the Maverick.

Has anyone tried to find if that's able to be deleted/suspended? If so, I'm buying the adapter today! If not, I'm probably prying open the keyfob and ripping out the button for the alarm.

Have you looked in the vehicle Settings found in the on-screen display? It may be in there. And you may find other annoyances there you'd like to disable.

Hadn't thought to check there. I'll look shortly -- thanks.

Just looked, and there's no option to disable it.

I don't find anything in the owner's manual that says you can disable the panic button.

Maybe a key cover could help? I’m sure there is a way with forscan, I just don’t know what it would be.

IF it can be disabled through software, Forscan would be the way.

3D printed hard clicker cover would probably get the job done. Just don't make an opening for the panic button.

And while I'd normally say that having the panic button disabled is a bad idea if you're like me and have to park next to a tree or pole so you don't lose your car... there aren't going to be enough Mavericks out there for it to be an issue anytime soon.

I've been thinking about getting ForScan to enable the ability to open all the windows from the keyfob, so I guess I'll go ahead with that and then see if I can find anything for the panic button. While it's MUCH better than the Fusion (the keyfob buttons were flush with the edge, and the top was rounded -- set that off ALL the time), the whole notion of the panic button is asinine to me. Most people ignore the thing anyway because of all the spurious activations.
