My $.02 is to actually remove the 7 pin connector before you even attempt to install it. Then use a Dremel as previously mentioned and cut out a little bit at a time. I actually went a little too far on the bottom left corner of mine, but it's not very noticeable.

Did you dremel the PIN-portion after you installed the cover? A little at a time until the connector fit back in appropriatley?

Sooo...how much to make me one?
not sure HOW I just seen this 4 month old post, sorry............I would charge you exactly $0 to cut it out for you if needed. I'm hearing finding the piece from the dealer isn't as hard as it used to be.

I am very interested in this....I have the larger 7-pin connector and already have the cover in my possession. DM me?

I've decided to try to 3d print the part. I can get the dimensions easily. However, I can't see how it actually attaches. Could someone who has the OEM part share what keeps it in place? Pics of the part not on the vehicle would be ideal.

there are tabs that kind of snap in along the edges, and then there's a place on the bottom corners that line up with the bumper cover for a nut/bolt, zip tie, etc (I used the push clips I removed during mudflap install) to connect it to the bumper cover. If the piece wasn't such a PIA to put back in, I would remove mine. Someone without a hitch should be able to remove the panel and snap a photo of it for you

Reviving this thread back to LIFE! How did you all manage to install this? I began measuring and cutting but I cannot seem to fit the cover behind hitch chain holders.. Any help would be appreciated!

NZ6Z17F000AA is the cover part number. I cut a slot for the hitch and then a hole for the harness connector. The cover snaps in and also has holes for two screws where it sits against the bumper cover. I just used small black zip ties there. Did have to remove a handful of screws to loosen the bumper cover and you really have to wiggle and flex the cover into place. But well worth doing.
Can you give me some advice on installing this? what exactly did you remove?

It was not super easy. It definitely helps to remove the push tabs under the bumper closest to the hitch. That gives you some flex that helps. Others have said to remove the wiring harness as well but I could never get mine to unclog and removed. I nearly gave up and was about to come back here to ask for mores specifics on getting the wiring harness removed but I tried bending and prying one last time and voila, the cover finally slid up and sort of snapped into place. I wish I could give you better instructions. But it’s just a tedious process that took patience and multiple attempts.

There are some small screws on the underside of the bumper cover. Remove those and you maneuver the bumper cover around a bit to give you a bit more space to get the new cover to fit into place.
