I have not tested this coding below or changed battery target state of charge in forscan yet because I have not had any battery issues on my 2024 yet. "knock on wood" But I came across this coding in the BCM that just doesn't seem correct. It is the same for all Ford Mavericks..

The factory coding for the digit below is F for every Maverick made... But F indicates BC AGM which I think means "AGM Battery Configure" when I believe it should be E which indicates BCM FLD meaning "Flooded Battery Configure"...

Would this be beneficial to change for some owners or no?

My 22 hybrid keeps the 12v about 60%.
Annoying, but the truck starts every day as the hybrids don't need cranking amps. Just 12 volts to feed the computers.
🤷🏻‍♂️
It's actually bad. Really bad for lead acid 12v's to sit at that level of charge. They really like 90%+. It extends their life significantly.

This☝

Battery lifetime is why I pulled Fuse 11 and use a battery maintainer, when not driving for a few days. I use a maintainer on other lead acid batteries, too. It extends the battery lifetime considerably, at least in my experience, anyway.

Agree.

But from Ford's perspective the 12v battery only needs to last 3/36,000.
