From the title of the post it implies you expect Maverick to be problematic.

I experienced both - 22 EB FWD Lariat and 24 hybrid Lariat. The pep of the 22EB had me driving sportier. The independent rear suspension gives a more compliant ride. No issues.

The 24 hybrid gets terrific mpg - 41-45 mpg on a tank over 550 miles, not trip. No deep sleep issues or recalls. The torsion beam rear suspension is stiffer than the 22EB but still rides well.

In SoCal where 87 octane costs $5+/gallon even at Costco I am saving $$$. The Mav is a perfect blend of driving comfort and utility. I haul stuff in the bed multiple times per week - appliances, water heaters, bags of nursery products, fence boards, 2 moutain bikes with wheels on and tailgate down; one bungeed to the left and one to the right side of the bed with the built-in tie downs. I can walk around it when it is parked in my garage. Versatile vehicle and I pat myself on the back for being willing to risk owning my first Ford ever.

People are more likely to complain about problems (and ask for/share solutions - it can be positive as well as negative) than talk about lack of problems, so in any forum such as this you'll see a lot of complaints. Reading complaints frequently can lead you to think they're representative of the average experience. That can be true, but it's frequently not.

You most definitely do not average 66mpg. You are taking 2-3 mile snap shots of your most advantageous trips.

I also can get 45mpg in my Tremor.....
7 miles to the store last night at 66mpg actually and I never said that was average. But I am saying slow trips that save money (avoiding tolls, going to cheap stores, cheap gas stations, etc.) do the best.

I wanted to switch to EB AWD (no go) in which case I'd be getting good highway mileage, but not good mileage on my cheater trips.

Yes driving conservatively is more efficient regardless of the fuel source or drivetrain.

Agreed, the MPG statements are overstated. I have a 2022 Hybrid and below is my average MPG for each fill up in my first 35,000 miles, my overall average is 31.2 MPG, I drive 90% highway. The best I have got on a tank was 39 MPG and the worst was 25 MPG (towing). Fuel price being a factor, but my cost is generally around $0.11/mile.

90% highway is an eco boost situation. My county has 3000 people per square mile. That's the only reason I have Hybrid.

I'm paying 50 cents on the dollar compared to your overpriced rig. I'll go ahead and mind the drivetrain. No, you don't get good city mileage like I do even when you try.

I'm sure it's nice to go off road, but It's not a real Maverick in terms of cost of ownership.

LOL listen to you gatekeeping what a "real Maverick" is....

Everybody knows what the hybrid fuel economy is. You are not getting 60+ mpg. You aren't getting 50+ mpg. You're getting high 30s/low 40s like everyone else.

As I've freely offered up in this thread - I pay anywhere from $0.18-0.20 per mile for fuel where a hybrid owner who actually tracks his mileage pays around $0.11 per mile.

The problem with the internet and Forums nowadays is that if more than one person has an issue it suddenly becomes a "this is a common problem" complaint

I've worked in Parts and now in Service at Ford, and the amount of people that come in and say "this is a common problem with this vehicle" just because they saw a handful of other people online have the same issue is ridiculous.

I have zero problems with my hybrid. I don't expect this to be rare.
*I also have not had any recalls completed.

*knocks on wood*

No issues out of my EB. I'm curious if the last software update did something to the transmission program. I've just noticed it is relying more heavily on engine braking at lower speeds than I remember it doing.

Knock wood, my 22 FX4 with all the packages and only 10k has been great. Local driving only getting 16/18 mpg but shoots way up on highway to 30/35 mpg using cruise and keeping it around 18/1900rpm 68/69 mph is great. Only issue was a freezing radio and doors locking when I get out of vehicle while running happen few times I always leave a window open now but after software updates 80 0/0 better.
Truck is going to be 2 years old in a month and looks like the day I picked up. Love it.

Okay so I get that and appreciated your original post. Just wished you would have added some pictures. Which I might add you haven't done so, on this thread that I'm aware of
