Steering wheel wear

Has anyone else noticed this wear on their steering wheel. I don't have greasy solvent hands and it's only at the 10-12-2 location. I dont live in a hot sunny location either.

I’ve had my truck since late December 2021. I don’t have that.

It wouldn't necessarily take diamonds or rings to do that damage. Seems to be an issue with lots late model vehicles. Many others with similar issue on various sites.

If and when that happens to me I will just buy a nice cover from Amazon and hope my OCD permits me to forget about it.

That pic makes me want to put a steering wheel cover on right now. And I'm not a steering wheel cover fan.

I did put a cover on the center console arm rest to prevent wear (like I had on my last car). $20 well spent in my opinion.

Dawn and the green soap and water at the shop are the only thing that touches my hands.

It also dries out your hands which is another reason to stay away from it.
