unfortunately I believed this manager. i had an appointment to come in for an order and they called me to say don't bother, we just got new intel and we can't accept orders now because they are being told end of 2022 delivery.
Too me that sounds like a load of 🐂:poop:. Just today a Hybrid window stick was shown with EPA numbers, which means OKTB is coming soon. At the very latest Dec 8th has been stated as the EPA number release date (if not sooner!) So once that OKTB from Ford is issued, Hybrids will be sold by this Fall (yes I went there! 😁) So Hybrids will be delivered by the end of the year if not sooner. Have you tried going online and placing an order yourself? As others have stated in this thread you'll probably won't receive your Hybrid, if ordered now, until late Spring or early Summer (see that I'm using Ford marketing tactic! 😁) This manager saying that they won't be delivered until the end 2022 would make me question his actual knowledge of the Maverick. Additionally, consider this, as the new year starts Ford production could also increase, which would cut down wait time. To me it just sounds like you should order online from a different dealership.

Same. We bought a 2018 Elantra Sport new back in 2017. I got rid of it 10 months later for an Infiniti Q50 that was a total POS. I thought the Forte would be a good replacement for the Elantra, since they're the same platform and all.. but it is not the same. It's missing something, I just don't know what. So although I like it OK, but I'm not going to miss it. I'm trying to decide right now whether or not to accept the offer and let it go now or hold off. I don't want the offers to go down.
I wanted an 18 sport SO bad. Dealer messed up me getting one by charging more than we agreed upon and I let it go for something else. Called me back a week later saying OK to go on the original price but it was too late. Electric blue, 6-speed, premium package. The Forte came later and it's fun to drive for sure but I'm willing to let that go for the economy of the hybrid Maverick. I don't think offers are going down anytime soon. Stuff I've been following says it's probably gonna be deep into 2022 until things even have a glimmer of looking better.

I think Ford knows how many they can make and are assuming a large portion of orders are not going to be purchased. $0 down for most reservations? No commitment. If they are just announcing limited availability on the Ford build and price website, they must think they can take more orders and fulfill within a 2022 model year.

So @typer have you found a dealer that knows what they're doing yet? Orders are closing soon, but not closed yet on the hybrids.

We actually paid just under $22,000 for our 2018 Sport Premium DCT in Galactic Gray 10/7/2017, MSRP was like $26,250. Had to travel about 150 miles to get it. Awesome car. Wish I had kept it.

Like you, I'm going to let the Forte go and get something that is both more usable and more efficient. The G70 is staying, and it's a lot nicer of a car than the Forte while also being better to drive.

Got a note from my dealer today that my spray-in bedliner will cause another delay (on top of the whole hybrid thing), so we revised the build sheet to drop it upon Ford's request. At least it's something that can be added post delivery.

Well, I just ordered my hybrid yesterday, put $500 down, and got a confirmation email from Ford. Dealer told me January, but... well... ? When I see knowprob's comment about the spray in, I wonder if I should drop that as well. I don't want any further delays. I'm wondering if there are any other options that will cause significant delays? I also added receiver hitch, full size spare, splash guards and floor liners.

Jan,2021? That isn’t bad at all if true. I put $1000 CAD down here. They said they ordered It but I haven’t heard anything since … should probably check up this week if nothing.

...until "end of '22".

Not sure I can wait that long. This looks to be turning into Bronco redux.
Since dealers are so notoriously honest:unsure:, could be they know their allocation number. So let's just order for our dealer stock and market adjust all we want.

Online purchasing of vehicles is new territory for Dealerships. I am sure some handle it better than others. The ones who don't get it won't be in business in the coming years.

This all takes me back 20 years to when Chrysler introduced the PT Cruiser. I have two friends who waited 6 months for their cars to be built, so I guess delays in new cars are not uncommon. I had to wait until a previous car had been paid for before I got our 1st PT...a 2003 we bought used in 2004. It's been modified, pampered and is sitting in the garage waiting for the next car show.
Ford sent me the email that said there is a Maverick in the queue with my name on it, hopefully I'll see it in January.

Been trying to order online via @fordvideoguy 's dealership in Kansas and can't get anyone to call me back. I've called twice now and each time a "maverick ordering specialist" was supposed to call me back. Nothing yet. Sounds like maybe my window is closed. My local dealerships are either clueless or have mandatory add ons from the dealership that adds $1k or more to MSRP. Not going that route.
