Finally Arrived! Special Edition Yellow Lariat Hybrid

Ordered end of November, arrived almost 4 months to the day. I originally wanted Black with BAP, but I couldn’t be happier with the Special Edition Yellow combined with the YAP. Black just shows too much dirt, so I’m really happy I went with the yellow instead.

Sprung for the top trim Hybrid and all the bells and whistles since I basically live in my car 4-6 hrs a day for work. And I can’t live without SiriusXM Radio so I paid the extra $5,000 for that, lol. $37.5k-ish sticker btw.

For real though, had it for 1 day now and love it so far. Yes, I know black gets dirty. Yes, I know Lariat isn’t best “value”. Yes, I know it doesn’t have AWD. Yes, I know Ford’s interiors are far inferior to most other brands and the Maverick’s interior is inferior to even most other Fords... Don’t care. Got the compact truck I’ve always wanted, plus 42 mpg.

My "Poverty Pollen" special edition should arrive soon, when the weather warms a bit more. I live in one of the top 10 spring pollen locations in the US. Fortunately, it won't be very noticeable on my XL Cactus Gray.

I had a black vehicle once and loved it then. But I'm too fn old to keep a dark color truck looking clean. Looking clean and actually being clean or two different things!

Congrats on your new Maverick and don't apologize for getting the Lariat, I went from a XLT to a Lariat because I couldn't live without all the creature comforts and technology. It's your money so get what you want. Speaking as a fellow NC from Cary I know what you mean about pollen, my Carbonized Gray Mav has a very greenish tint to it. I really thought about Shadow Black, it especially looks good on the Tremor, my Bronco is Shadow Black but lives in the garage, in the end I got Carbonized Gray because it has to live outside and I thought it wouldn't show the dirt and pollen as much.

Yea ! Here in Florida the live oaks flowered last week and spread the yellow fluff . extremely heavy this year . Mav in garage and Camry under car cover .

In Richmond, VA here, Alto Blue is like a magnet for the pollen already. Not quite as bad as the OP’s but it’s still early…..

I used to live in VA. Many times I'd walk out to the truck and find it went from green to gold flake lol. Pollen was insane out there.

There was a study several years ago (University of Tennessee) claiming that the area between the Cumberland Plateau and the Smoky Mountains has the largest and most diverse combination of allergens in the country. Not only does it cover the vehicles, it is tough on the respiratory system.

Congratulations on your shadow black maverick. In northeast pennsylvania it is only 28 degree's but not much pollen. Accessories go great with shadow black
