Purchased Extended Warranty - Paperwork Shows Wrong VIN#

I got in Granger Ford's February deal for Ford's extended warranty. I have been checking FordPass every few days expecting to eventually see the warranty show up in the APP. As of today, still no love with the extended warranty showing up in the FordPass app. However, this morning I opened up correspondence from Budco, the finance company for the warranty payments. Got my online account all set up with my payment plan number which populated my personal info, payment amounts, payment dates and my Maverick's VIN# and ..........wait a minute, something is off......I'll be damned, the VIN# on Budco's correspondence and attached to my online account is incorrect. So no wonder the extended warranty wasn't showing in the Ford App, because it was never going to show (at least not in my app). Of course, I will have to sit on it until Monday as no one was at dealership on a Saturday that could help me. So I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? I would assume that at least one other person is in the same boat as my VIN# has to be showing up on someone else's warranty paperwork. Anyone with a similar experience?

Curious if its a typo, one number wrong? Or did they totally give you a different vin?
Hopefully it will be an easy fix once you talk to a live person.

Curious if its a typo, one number wrong? Or did they totally give you a different vin?
Hopefully it will be an easy fix once you talk to a live person.
Oh, it isn't just a simple stray digit we're talking about here. When I first noticed something amiss, it was realizing that all of the last 5 digits were completely wrong and as it began to dawn on me what I was realizing, the majority of the other digits in the VIN also didn't match up. The simplest explanation to me is that my paperwork and the paperwork of another warranty purchaser crossed paths on the same desk at the same time and entire VIN#'s were transposed between our two contracts. Of course, there are any number of working conspiracy theories out in the wild that would make for much better entertainment but I will leave that to any of our resident conspiracy aficionados.

Give them a call or email the granger warranty email you definitely want to get that squared away.

Mine is showing in my FordPass.

I left voicemail Saturday morning for the gal at Granger who handles the Ford extended warranties. Getting ahold of her tomorrow morning is the first 5 things on my list of things to do after I wake up. To be honest though, I have been racking my brain trying to figure out if I had something to do with causing this issue. You see, up until two days before I bought my current Maverick I was on the shortest side of the wait for a Maverick I had ordered in September 2023. I of course had that vehicle's VIN# recorded on my notes app in my phone, written down in my insurance paperwork to streamline that process, and the VIN# was kept in several other places. Then within a 2 day time span, I abandoned the one I ordered and instead picked up one off a dealer's lot. I have this nagging thought that I referenced the VIN# I kept in my phone of the declined Maverick when I purchased the extended warranty for the Mav I bought. Doubt I will figure it out for sure, but I'd say it's an even split on whether it was me or Granger Ford. Regardless, let's hope it is an easily rectified paper shuffle to fix.

I bought twice from Granger...no problem having it appear on FordPass within a couple of days. Sounds like just someone's simple mistake.

I do not have the "lucky warranty" but I did pay for the Ford extended warranty and I am unable to see where it shows on my Ford Pass. Can someone tell me how to locate it on Ford Pass. Thanks.
