My dealer finally came down to 1500 on my Tremor Lariat as i was signing paperwork . It started around 3000 .once they offered me the 1500 they said i could come back .The 3/36000 warranty isn't the best, has anyone found a fair price extended warranty that covers the necessities. When I bought my hybrid last year the dealer offered one that seemed good until he changed the price we had agreed on. Price went from 1600 to over 3500, tried to sneak it through on the paper work. Just looking for electrical and drive train, not actually bumper to bumper, just something to cover big ticket items.
Measuring from underneath. Roof not covered either. Interior debateable. Definitely not side mirrors. Don't even ask about side mirrors.
Definitely go with Granger. Price is going up soon. Also, if you have the LED lights, get the lighting add on. It's over 1K to replace. The 3/36000 warranty isn't the best, has anyone found a fair price extended warranty that covers the necessities. Thank you for your supportChoose wisely, the number of years and the mileage. We tow our Maverick as much as we drive it, so I chose an 8 yr, 36000 mile Premiumcare ESP warranty from @Granger Ford for both our 2023 and 2024. Granger is a sponsor here, and you should be able to buy from them if you are in Texas.
Here's our 2024 warranty. Includes first day rental and Lights for $475.

but you pay tax locally, if you are out of state, you dont pay tax to granger.Granger is a Ford extended warranty. They have an exceptional pricing model that beats standard dealer pricing every day. However, local dealers have tons of flexibility in pricing on warranties, and if you press them you might find they are willing match Granger. Granger is still making a profit in every warranty they sell. If you’re serious about buying, contact your local dealer and tell them you’re ready to buy the warranty. You can give your money to Granger, or to them. Just be firm that dealer needs to match Granger price, which is clearly published for the whole world to see.
correct. I got them to take $$ off my car in exchange of paying like WAY WAY EXPENSIVE WARRANTY. was hook line sinker, bc I knew I could cancel it, I came in, canceled warranty and paid car off few days later. they was pissed. they took a few grand off my msrp car and I let them charge me stupid high loan lol. I didnt care bc I knew I was paying it that weekFor those states with no sales tax including Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon - it’s a moot point.
You also gain the potential benefit of the local dealer as both the selling agent and servicing agent for your warranty. Are they going to represent you better because you bought the warranty from them versus Granger?
Extended warranty’s are arguably the highest profit add-on in the car sales business. They rarely get fully (if at all) utilized, and there is zero inventory holding cost. It’s just paper. When faced with the prospect of a low margin sale versus a NO margin sale, it’s interesting how motivated a dealership can get.
