Earlier discussions on extended warranty led me to purchasing the 10/100 program also. But you are correct, it is really only 7 months, 64K miles more than factory warranty. Still worth it if you plan on keeping Maverick for a while.
I know you meant 7 years, not months! but I think the 10 year plan lets you be covered, and when you sell ,or trade in, after 7, or 8 years, you can transfer the remaining years to the next owner, who will pay more for that truck. If you trade in, you can receive a refund when you cancel the policy.

if you are going to do it, it's best to get the extended warranty sooner rather than later. The coverage term is the same no matter when you sign up, since it's based on the date of the fist sale of the vehicle. If you wait a couple of years to get the 10 year extended coverage you'll be paying in inflated 2027/2028/2029 dollars for the exact same thing. The price won't be going down.

We purchased our 10 year warr the same day we picked up our new '25 (from Grainger).

Granger doesn't do California. Anyone know who has the best rates in CA?
That's a bummer. I also live in SoCal.
The address you provide to Granger doesn't need to be the address you register the vehicle at. It can be any address that isn't in CA or FL. Relative/friend's house, etc. They just need a "shipping" address to ring you up with.

I am thinking about getting an extended warranty for my Maverick and wanted some opinions as if I should go ahead and get it or not.
Ok, so we know nothing of your ownership use-case, time horizon, mechanical abilities, etc. Basically we should guess for you if "I should go ahead and get it"....

Do you have good independent repair shops? Are you a DIY'er? Is this your only car? How long do you plan on keeping it? What do you do for regular maintenance? Dealer, independent shop or DIY?

We don't know your life. Owners typically make this decision based on their personal circumstances. I'd say most decide to skip any extended warranties. I'm at 48k on a 8y/125k premium plan. Haven't had a claim yet.
