This might be covered somewhere else on in these forums so forgive me that a quick search didn't find it.

2023 Lariat base package doesn't include ACC but 2024 does.

Short story long, I bought a 2023 Lariat in November thinking that, since it had CoPilot 360, it also included ACC.

Turns out that was not the case (which I discovered after a week). I went on a road trip only to find out I couldn't figure out how to enable it. Took it back to the dealer and the service guy said the car never had it.

Researched and found that in 2023, you had to have the CoPilot360 Assist Plus package in order to get ACC. But, from the 2024 sticker, ACC is included in the base Lariat price!

Yes, I bought two mavericks in 4 months. The dealer refunded me the cost of the first one (2023 Lariat) when I complained (taking a loss) and I bought a 2024 Lariat which had ACC. I was truly amazed at this and wonder now if Ford didn't realize their mistake and offered dealers some incentives.

I did do a bunch of research before buying the 2023, looking through this forum and ford.com. It was very confusing to me as I looked over the Ford website regarding which packages included ACC. That's why I was so surprised when I discovered the 2023 vehicle didn't have it. Perhaps the website wasn't well designed, and I was alternating between the 2023 and 2024 years and didn't realize it. I thought that if the 2023 had CoPiolot360 (which it did), ACC would be included.

Hilariously, my wife and I spent a long time looking for the ACC icon on our road trip. The manual doesn't tell you it's on the steering wheel. And using google on our phones was not helping. When we got back, the folks at the dealership know to look at the buttons on the left of the steering wheel to see if it has ACC or not.

In any case, I am very happy with my new 2024 - it has everything I wanted! It also completely turned me around on my attitude regarding Frontier Ford. They have been very good to me throughout this process. Shout out to salesman Mo.

Good to hear your dealer worked with you. While not perfect, the Order Guide tends
to be better than the B&P website.

It was always confusing having two different Copilot 360 packages, I don't blame you.
In 2024 Ford took all the optional packages from the 2023 Lariat and made them standard, including the Lux package and both 360 packages. Should have been that way from the start IMO.

Enjoy the truck!

Nope. For 2023; to get ACC, you had to order CP360 Assist. And you also had to order CP360 to be able to order CP360 Assist.

So ACC is Adaptive Cruise Control? I dislike it 100%.

All these package options are presented in a very confusing manner. CoPilot, CoPilot Plus, etc. It's very difficult unless one is highly familiar with every feature that is offered and which features come with which package. Want to cut down on cost production, Ford? Keep the 3 trims, but have each one carry its own standard features

In response to the guy who doesn't like ACC. I will comment that after a month, it is difficult to use here in Mexico becuase of the variance in speed between vehicles is sooooo much greater than anything you encounter in the USA... So the ACC will agressively slow you down, even though you intend to pass and have your left signal on.... But it's detecting that you are gaining soooo quickly on the very slow moving vehicle that it slows/brakes aggressively even on the low settings.... That is not what you want happening just prior to moving over to the left lane to pass... So, I find I use ACC in the USA, but often turn it off in Mexico to avoid the over reacitve decceleration and braking...

Regarding it's inclusion in MY2024.... yeah... Ford confused everyone in MY2023 with the Lariat... Just dumb...

It’s too sensitive, sometimes reacts to semis in another lane, and I guess I’ve just driven enough decades without it.

i was using it today and had it set to 70mph, hit traffic which brought me to a standstill. I didnt have to use the brake pedal, ACC took me to zero, held the car stationary and as traffic moved, sped back up keeping the predetermined distance i set in ACC> pretty amazing.

Love the ACC but the aggressive slowing/braking isn't the best. When it does this I do have to jump on the gas pedal -

Lucky for you, your Mav's don't have it.

It is wonderful for reducing road stress on longer trips and/or bad traffic. I've got the parts to add it to my XL.
