No i like their kit . I just wanted their bezel to be honest. But i had this fog ligths for a while from a ford f150 so i wanted to use them.
What Ford model year fog lights did you use and how much rework or cutting did you need to do to their inserts? Did you just bolt yours into the plastic sides of the DD inserts? I figure I can use my existing wiring with their relay and cables for any replacements I may use in the future as long as the amperage is within their relay output. The DD light ouput is okay but nothing to brag about and their amber backlight is very dim...should have been two or three times brighter to be any good.

Finally got mine installed. Spent about 2 days on and off. Doing this in 2-3 hours is really not doable unless you do a sloppy job on the wiring.

I wired mine up differently so that my blue wire (for the back amber lighting) is tied to my led hood circuit so they are on whenever the truck is running regardless of headlight settings. I wired my white wire (fog light activation) to the side parking - running light through my added on switch in the console. Whenever any lights are on...via automatic or manual, my fog lights are on if my inside console pushbuton switch is on. Low, high, and running lights - my fogs are on or off in any of these modes based on my console switch position. Top button in the picture is used for my fogs...added second one under it for future accessory and prewired up in the engine compartment off the battery juntion box.

The fog light backligh amber light is not very bright as seem in the picture. I added new leds in my side marker lights and they are at least three times brighter than the amber backlight of the fogs.

BRISHINE 194 LED Bulbs Extremely Bright Amber Yellow 5630 Chipsets 168 2825 175 T10 W5W LED
Side marker bulbs used....wouldn't want them any brighter than this!!

12/16/19/22mm Waterproof Black Push Button Switch LED Light Momentary Latching

There are the 12mm ones. 19/22 are too big .... 16mm would fit but I got tired of waiting for black ones to come in. I ordered a bunch of different sizes in SS and black finish. I went with the 12mm black since they were pretty close to matching the faceplate and the "yellow" color is dead on. They are slighly brighter than the square orange light for the headlight console but not much. You could use a resistor to get the brightness to match exactly but it wasn't that bright for me to bother with.

I used plastic split wire conduit from HFrieght (1/4,3/8,1/2) to run all my cables through...no loose wiring. Mounted relay box where they suggested using hot glue (it's never coming off!) To passenger side I ran the fog light harness and an 18 gauge grey wire that was tapped into the parking light harness. That grey wire then ran from the relay area up the conduit and ino the inside console area. The pushbuttons I used have 4 connectors. LED+, LED- and two connections for the switch. Connected LED- to the same ground location they suggested and attached my grey wire to one of the switch contacts. My other switch contact was connected to the LED+ and the white activation wire from the relay box. Button only lights up when depressed (latched) to complete the return circuit via their white wire to the relay to turn on the fog whites.

Pull the headlight console module with its blue plastic mount as one peice from the dash. Start at door side and yank with a tool - careful to not slip and scratch plastic. Then tug from steering wheel side and it pops off. Start by drilling a very small hole for mounting switch to center where you want it and slowly keep enlarging it for a nice clean hole - only get one shot so be careful. Once button is mounted you can use push on wire connectors or remove and solder wires first. Use a wire connector block inside cab so that you can always remove that headlight module if needed. I used multiple connector blocks in my wiring at various locations. Behind the brake is a oval rubber firewall plug to the run wire conduit through. As mentioned before my blue backlight wire was tapped into the + lead of my led hood wiring strip. Relay gound connected to a large ground cable bolt just below driver headlight. Relay + connected to battery + lead. Will add a small fuse buss on top of the bat junction box later if I need more power connections.. I did not want to add another fuse tap into the bat juntion box for this like I did for my LED hood strip wiring.

Thanks 4 the write up. I will likely go with the 12mm they fit super nice. I bought a rubber plug that's made specifically for running wires through the hole you mentioned in the firewall. Going to do this in the spring. Just want to get all my ducks in a row so to speak. I was planning on making a mounting plate for a fuse block on the 2 studs at the firewall by that hole. It appears it's for a clutch pedal setup that ford decided not to offer.

The first time i had some custom ones that i made from the f150 . But now i used the DIode dynamics housings and i had this 2018 f150 fog lights they are oem expensive though but they are led a d they fit like the diode dynamics one .

Good to know if I decide to ever replace the DD lights. Thanks! I would probably by a set of aftermarket ebay ones for a 2018 F150 and then modify the lighting in them. I'm cheap and don't like paying Ford prices.

This was my approach to the switch. A little brighter than I wanted though.

Your factory headlight module lighting seems to be a lot brighter than mine even at full brightness.

This whole idea by Ford to start eliminating fog light options on their future models doesn't appear to be the industry norm. I see a lot of new models coming out from other manufacturers and they have fog light options......and of course Ford would have to start the trend with the Maverick! Ford could just as easily made it an optional feature and charged $250-$300 and saved the owners a lot of aggravation with aftermarket product delays.

I found some from a chinese company that sells replacement parts . I will check tomorrow morning the website.
