Not seeing Mavericks in the wild... why not? How about your community?

Just Picked up my Maverick yesturday. Dealer tried to hit me with that 5k Markup. Stood firm on them and they finally let me have it for msrp. 2023 Lariat AWD with 2.0, Black with Black package, 4k tow, moonroof, etc.

Once the dealer told me that it was slow for them this time of year and everyone is paying off xmas debt and waiting for tax money. I knew I had him. I just stood firm. My dealer had 7 Mavericks but the one I purchased was the only AWD. They had 5 fwd Hybrids and a 2.0 fwd. Glad you were able to find yours. Looks like it is a good time to buy as the dealers are struggling till people get tax returns.

It wasn't clear from your posts, but did you order your Mav or buy one sitting on the dealer lot? If you ordered it and the dealer tried to squeeze you for more $ after it came in, then shame on them and I would be reporting this to Ford.

OTOH, if was sitting on the lot due to a customer declined order, then the dealer has the right to try and mark it up over MSRP. When I bought my first Maverick in March 2022, the dealer had a supplemental sticker with an additional $9500 over the the $26,500 MSRP.

Back then the Mavericks were in even shorter supply than they are today. I was able to negotiate it down to $30,000 - not a great deal, but a deal I could live with.

All this being said, congratulations on your new truck and being able to get it at MSRP......

When I had my Explorer, I never saw Mavericks on the road, but when I bought my Maverick, I see one almost every single day now (Not mine, like, others on the roadways)

Now I'm really upset. Didn't see a single Maverick while driving this morning. However, I saw two Santa Cruz's. I saw more eagles than Mavericks this morning. Is this a production problem, or are the old codger Maverick owners in Florida becoming homebound? Yeah, I'm probably older than all of you.

No I did not order mine. I just showed up to a dealer to take a look at it since it was optioned as I would have wanted it. They tried to mark it up on me when we started running the numbers. I told them if it wasn't on the window sticker I'm not paying it. Tried to get a 2022 last year but didn't make it to the dealer on time before someone picked it up. It all worked out though since I prefer Black and the first one I went to see was white.

So we live in a mid sized city in a populous state with 5 Ford dealers within 30 miles of each other but I have only seen 7 actual rigs and only at the dealers.
Today I spotted this fresh off the truck Hybrid Lariat at a dealer awaiting its prep time... first eyes on a Lariat and hybrid for me personally. Never have seen a truck out on the road. I have seen and touched an XL, XLT, AWD and now this white Lariat. Like I said 7 total in the mix.
I am a car/truck guy and can spot vehicles way off........ just not seeing many yet. I know they are being built and sold but it’s odd for me not to see someone out showing their new truck off
I feel deprived...., yet hopeful when deliveries ramp up.

I'm currently in the Villages, FL. visiting. I've been looking as much as possible for any Mavericks. I haven't seen one yet and am surprised, being predominately older folks. Might be here and I'm just missing them.
