I live in Metro Detroit and I see them all over the place! I have traveled to upstate MI and only saw 2 one whole trip and one on a different trip. I just took a trip to Wisconsin, drove through Indiana and Illinois, though Chicago all the way up to Green Bay. I only saw 2 over 4 days. It blows my mind how few I see when I travel, when I loose count on how many I see on a daily basis at home.

I’m seeing 2-3 a day in central Houston. Yesterday the centerpoint utility rep was driving a white XL hybrid. Said he loves it (obviously).
You are correct. I visited Sterling Mc Call Ford dealer in Houston on early 2022 and they had 56 White XL Hybrid and said those were for a utility company and they are interested to sell me one of them for 5K Markup price. Interestingly all of those 56 had sunroof and FCP 360 added option. But i didn't go for it due to markup price. I live in Houston suburb (Sugar Land) and last week i saw two at a time in a Richmond neighborhood.

Saw 4 last Sunday on a 35 mile drive in the Chicago suburbs, and even had one park next to me at Ikea.

To be honest, Mavericks in my area are starting to become the Accords or Civics whenever a new generation came out.

Back in 2022, I only saw 3 but in this year alone, I probably saw 10 lol. Funnily enough, my dealer said the demand for the Maverick still isn't hot so they don't stock accessories for Mavericks at all.

Saw my first Maverick yesterday in South Jersey. It was in a parade in Haddon Township, NJ. Guy had a keyboard in the bed.

Just finished cross state trip within S. Carolina, over 730 miles covered and only noted four Mavericks. I also think I'm pretty good at picking them out. First one was a wrapped escort vehicle for Clayton mobile homes, then two white Lariats one with a "Security" sign on the door. Last was an Area 51 colored XLT. Did not note any hybrid tags on any of them. Still not anything close to abundant here. I imagine that will change by the time I get mine in a few weeks.

They're getting to be much more common here in SoCal to the point where my waving at them is kind of pointless. Too bad. Always felt like we were part of some secret society.

On a pretty good trip - ATL - Panama City - TPA - ATL, saw two. Brings the total to 5 since getting my XLT late December 2021.
I guess they are all in SoCal.

My local dealer is still adding and selling Mavericks with a 5K added value sticker price for the Eco models. The neighboring dealers are still going for the greedy 10K - on the hybrid package while some of the higher trim levels are still moving at this price gouging level. Color has a lot to do with it from what I see.
I certainly am surprised at the sales response for the Maverick after all this time. So it’s still supply and demand per location.

Just Picked up my Maverick yesturday. Dealer tried to hit me with that 5k Markup. Stood firm on them and they finally let me have it for msrp. 2023 Lariat AWD with 2.0, Black with Black package, 4k tow, moonroof, etc.

Happy to read this and congrats on your new ride. I did a little phone and online shopping today for current pricing on a 24 XL Cactus Grey 2.0. I am happy to say that by simply going to a small family owned dealer outside the major metro areas, I was able to lock down solid pricing
(MSRP only without any added doo dads) .

With a simple pleasant and polite conversation the manager dropped the 3k mark up for an in stock truck. Winter rains, slow Wednesday sales, and 9 new Maverericks sitting on the lot….they are ready to deal. A family member is heading out to close the deal. A nice turn of events and perhaps some more room for negotiation on the trucks is underway in some areas.
All the best ✔🇺🇸

Once the dealer told me that it was slow for them this time of year and everyone is paying off xmas debt and waiting for tax money. I knew I had him. I just stood firm. My dealer had 7 Mavericks but the one I purchased was the only AWD. They had 5 fwd Hybrids and a 2.0 fwd. Glad you were able to find yours. Looks like it is a good time to buy as the dealers are struggling till people get tax returns.

I did the same, and placed an order without ever setting foot in the dealership. Ordered by phone, MSRP guaranteed and no deposit. The only ID they needed was an emailed copy of my driver's license. Low pressure, honest dealers still exist.

As for seeing Mavericks; yesterday in my very small town, I saw 3 Mavs, plus a couple of Rivians.

Now I'm really upset. Didn't see a single Maverick while driving this morning. However, I saw two Santa Cruz's. I saw more eagles than Mavericks this morning. Is this a production problem, or are the old codger Maverick owners in Florida becoming homebound? Yeah, I'm probably older than all of you.

This thread 2 years old but somehow I hadn't ever seen it.

I do see Mavericks at least once a day in Wichita, most (51-75%) are company trucks. There is one privately owned in my neighborhood, a '22 XLT awd, and actually 2 work trucks that park outside.

Regarding markups I am seeing locally that hybrids still have 3k-5k markup asking price and low inventory (0-2 at each of three local dealerships). I do not know if how long they sit around and how many are sold at that vs msrp or a lesser markup, but I wouldn't pay it.

It looks like ecoboost models are generally at msrp.
