@Bill Quattlebaum didn’t you have a hybrid ordered for ‘23 and changed to an ecoboost for ‘24?
I changed to Ecoboost about 3 months after I ordered a hybrid, since Ford said I had a better chance of getting a truck. That was in December of 2022. Obviously, that did not help.

Has your dealer EVER had any maverick allocations? Do they have it ordered as a stock unit instead of a retail order? I assume you've chatted with ford and verified you have a good order in their system. I realize there were constraints from the beginning with the hitch, hybrid, xl trim etc. Somethings just not right somewhere IMO.
Yes, the dealer had about 10 allocations the year I ordered. I think I was number six. It is ordered as a retail order and is now finally priority 02. Scheduled for 2/26/24. It's been a long battle, but I should have a truck in about two more months. I dropped constrained items and did all I could to move the order along.

I ordered my '23 XL Hybrid about the same time you did and picked it up on 10/2/23. Salesman never told me to change it to an ecoboost, but he did contact me at some point and tell me if I dropped the hitch receiver it might speed up the build process. I did that and although I got my truck, I don't know if it helped or not.

$20,000 invested into VMFXX (Vanguard Federal Money Market fund - not stocks or anything with risk) on 9/20/2022, would be worth $21,282.06 today.
So with private offer and price protection, you're buying it for LESS than it cost when you ordered it :)

Since I ordered an XL on 9/20/22, the base price has gone up by $1,620. The shipping charge went up by $100. So in a little over 16 months, the XL has seen a $1,720 increase. Been waiting for 489 days now.
What hasn't gone up. Saw a box of kellogs corn flakes $6,99 at smiths/krogers.

I expect that you'll get hosed like my friend, originally ordered a Lariat Hybrid for MY23, changed it to an EB in hopes it would get built (on the advice of his dealer), never built, now his Private Offer is based on the EB order ($1000) rather than the Hybrid ($2500).

On the positive side, weather permitting, he's picking his up today.

The salesman did not ask me to change to Ecoboost. Ford sent a message out and suggested that would help the order. I also dropped the hitch at one time to try and speed up the process. Now, they are short on XL and the standard tires. Also they had a constraint on the full size spare for a while.

Yep, you do what Ford suggests and get a smaller discount. $1,000 is all I will get even though I originally ordered a hybrid.

That extra $1500 would have been offset by the upcharge for '24MY hybrid powertrains. Either way they should be about $230 ahead vs the cost of a '23 Lariat.

I know the 2023 orders that were not fulfilled had to place a new order for a 2024, with a price locked in at 2023 rates. Is he sure the dealer re-ordered his 2022 to 2023 order into a 2024 model? I ordered a 2024 XL eco boost in August 2023 and took delivery 1/11/2024. Not saying this to boast, just feeling something is not right with his order.

OP's order is scheduled to be built in a month. They're just being dramatic in the final stretch.

Oh, good I hope so for his sake...I found the Ford chat the best way to track my order, they would tell me what town the auto train was passing through, even the car number my Maverick was in!

Uh, no. I've got both his original MY23 Lariat FWD Hybrid preview ($33,590), as well as his re-order MY24 ($36,900). Both orders include the moonroof, the 23 had CP360 and the $100 hitch added. You can make the argument that the 24 has the Lux package, but what he intended to spend is very different.
