500 miles fuel line failure?

I got the pull over when it's safe message. The gas engine shut off and when I opened the hood there was gas everywhere. I couldn't tell where exactly but it was enough gas to puddle everywhere. If the motor had been hot I have no doubt there would have been a fire. It's been towed to a dealership now. But I suppose with the holidays it will be a few days till they look at it. Will update as I hear.

Only had the truck two weeks so nothing modded. I did add mobbet seat covers tint for the front windows

UPDATE my dealership contacted me and said it was a fuel line that had popped off. A new will be in tomorrow. I'm glad that is all it was.

Do they know WHY it popped off? Is it a defect or did something else happen?

I’m new to the forum but stumbled upon your post because this happened yesterday to our 2022 Maverick Ecoboost with 18k miles on it. On the way to work and the truck lost all power and shut off. I couldn’t make it to the next side street so it just sat in the rain blocking traffic for about 2 hours until a tow truck arrived. Popped the hood open and fuel was everywhere. The dealership told us this morning it’s a cracked fuel line. Repair date is TBD, waiting on parts.
