I have now started having the interior lights not going on. Also the ford pass app not working deep sleep mode. Winter has finally hit in Buffalo NY. Not doing much driving plus when I do at most maybe 15 miles. It seems the people not having any issues are in warmer areas.

I have a voltage readout on cigarette connection as its also a on off switch were i connect my dash cam. So I can read both output when running about 15.2 volts and battery voltage which last I looked I THINK as I didn't record it was maybe 12.3 volts. . I will state taking picture of that readout and keep a record on it. I hate not having a dome light. That sucks.

I just drove this morning open car door after sitting two days had dome light. I drove about 4 miles one way went inside 5 minutes back in no dome light WTF. Drove back home shut off no dome light.

So far one poster put die hard battery in about 210 bucks!! and seems to have fixed his issue SO FAR. BUT is it permanent fix ? If I new it was I might bight the bullet and pay the money.

I carry a noco jump box just in case. I have had my hybrid only since mid august . No issue till now, Even when it sat in September for almost 2 weeks. .BUT drive a lot more and farther summer time.
Re $210 die hard. I'm not having deep sleep but am seeing no done light seldomly. In any case if I was I would put $40-$50 in envelope every time I did. I do not think battery replacement is long term cure but if a battery replacement for $1/day I would play that game. If I experienced a no start in 10°F I would most likely put $100 in envelope. I would even spring the $374 for the 99.999% pure lead agm if I thought it would be the cure, but I do not.
Just put novo maintainer on once a month and keep sulfation down as much as possible.

10 volts and i can guarantee it wont get a ready on dash for sure at 10 volts. Mine still showing over 12 volts and no dome lights.

Now today my cigarette lighter unless car is running shows no voltage so I cant even read battery voltage like after i shut Mav off cigarette lighter would stay powered until I open the door. Now it goes immediately off. . So I assume mine is getting even worse. Been much colder here now. Today up to 26 F though.
What I'm saying is I think your system thinks you're dropping below 10 volts even though your battery is at 12 volts. Take it do the dealer and see if he can hook it up to diagnostics to reset the battery management system. It couldn't hurt.

They did something like that to mine and I haven't had a problem since.

If the op would pull fuse 11, I'm betting the issue would go away. I feel like data being sent/received is the biggest drain on these trucks. I've not had any issues over 22k miles, but I pretty much drive all the time. I don't use the Ford pass app, and I put my keys down when I walk in the door. I figure pulling that fuse will help with the drain, and make those paranoid folks among us feel better too. Win win! I know, some like the app and use it often. In that case, Ford needs to install better batteries and make sure the truck charges them. Either way, its bonkers that people can't depend on their new vehicles. Get it together Ford!
What is meant by putting the keys down when you walk in the door ,
is there something about not having them in your pocket that helps?
please and farm

If this is the case with my new maverick I won't keep it. I need a reliable truck.
You may want to go ahead and at least start researching then. It seems a hit or miss from what we see on this forum, especially for the hybrid version. But don't get all alarmed, many have no issues

The truck senses when the key fob gets near it and starts doing it's clicks and grumbles in preparation for being unlocked/used. To test, set your keys down when you get home, then grab them and go out to your truck after a while. You'll hear the gerbils starting to wake up when you get near the truck :D

Ya, unfortunately I have had over 2 years to research the Maverick. And I have been following the MTC for a year and a half. I'm looking forward to getting my Mav lariat hybrid in a couple of weeks. I believe the majority of the trucks are good and only a small percentage of them have issues. I am hoping the one I get work just fine. One of the issues is that with so much time waiting there is ample time to find out all the bad stuff.

Went to gym about 3 miles from home. In gym 1.5 hours, had no dome light when I got in car and none after drive to gym. After return I had dome light but it only lasted maybe 30 seconds but lighter stayed powered after car shut off. It wasn't earlier today. It normally stays powered after shut down till I open door.
So I have about 12.2 volts on battery alone. Not sure what percentage that means its charged? I will charge battery if it ever stops snowing. I will charge under hood at jumper locations rather than at battery directly.

I have that recall for bulbs and haven't yet had it done I will wait till after I try charging 12 volt battery to see if dome light keeps working. If not when I do recall I will have dealer check battery.

My setup has a switch with digital readout on push button on/off switch. Part of my dash cam setup . Two pictures when I got home

When I deleted Ford Pass from phone, the truck stopped the "Deep Sleep crap" the battery is happy and there's no issues with not starting. You can call me crazy, you can call me archaic but my Maverick is a happy camper, now.
Are you sure the dome light comes on every time you open the door? If not, maybe it was in deep sleep and you didn't know because it couldn't tell you.

The voltage you see at the dash power port is not the actual battery voltage. It is the voltage at that point on the 12v bus. The battery voltage will be reduced by other items which are pulling current. Sit in vehicle, turn it off, turn off the lights with the dial left of steering wheel, voltage reading will climb, as well as radio, will climb. If you leave your voltage monitor on when you exit your truck the dash power point will keep the current flowing for the chosen time off delay occurs or when the 12v soc drops to 12.1v. (I am not sure if all models have the battery saver option). I also double lock my hybrid with the key fob as this turn off the courtesy lights, radio, dash immediately instead of waiting for timer off.

Yea I don't really see myself keeping the Maverick. This winter just kinda confirmed it. At least the EB starts but the battery is still not healthy. I've had the dome lights sometimes never come on. I've also removed the vehicle from the app, deleted my account and non longer use it.

Plus I just had a throttle body issue cold starting it and it ran on remote start for at least 10 minutes with a misfire. That should not happen. Cold weather or not, if the CEL comes on and it's misfiring the remote start should disengage. Now I can't even trust remote start.

The CEL went off today but out of all the vehicles Ive has and years in Montana winter, this is a first for me. It's one thing to have a cranky start but the Mavericks issues are not something I find reliable.

No idea what my plan is yet but I doubt I'll keep it as long as I was hoping to. I dunno... I was happy enough and willing to ignore quite a bit, but risk management and my gut just keep telling me to run and not look back.

I am definitely considering going back in time and buying something with very low mileage and just being done with all this new crap. I'm only 40, and I enjoy the features of new vehicles, but if I can't trust them, what's the point? I'd rather spend more at the pump and know it's going to last.

I believe Ford is aware of these 12volt issues and working on a soluion s. I have open case with Ford on this isse with my 2023 Mav Hybrid LUX. In the meantime I am driving more often and using battery tender which is super annoying on a new truck. My battery already changed out by dealer
Truck goes 2 days without driving into battery saver and less than a week for deep sleep, all updates done dealer bench tested battery twice and it has passed.
Fist 6 months it took 2 weeks to go to deep sleep ( sometime I travel on business and drive other vehicle)
Not sure if this is what you guys are seeing but it's super annoying

This issue continues to be a problem with all Mavericks, including the EcoBoost. I have been experiencing the same issue with rapid 12 volt battery drain for the past several months even though my 2023 Maverick Lariat Hybrid is only 7 months old. This type of issue is not only confined to Ford Maverick, other makes and models of Ford have experienced similar issue, even other manufacturers are dealing with it Toyota, Hyundai etc. Ford has opened a case (CAS-46417691-R3M8Z8) on my reports and my dealer here in the Austin, Texas area is cooperative and working to solve the problem. I have taken the Mav in twice, first time dealer replaced battery, but problem quickly returned, now it is a daily issue I must be concerned about with my new Mav, which I really love, except for this problem. If I drive the Mav daily for at least 15 minutes it seems to be okay, but I still get FordPass alert messages, if it sits for more than 2 days, even in the garage, I have to charge or use battery pack to get it started again - totally unacceptable situation.

It is too prevalent for Ford to not be aware of it even if it appears to happen to 10% possibly less. The ones not experiencing the no lights, etc I expect the trucks to be reporting their codes Everytime the trucks are started. Ford I expect to know the 12v SOC of every vehicle model sold. It should be a minor issue to compare deep sleepers to those that never. They should be able to see your 12v SOC an hour after you shut down truck and the SOC when your fob approaches in AM. All that clicking is not for nothing, I am sure of. Therefore they would know when you put your maintainer on. I am somewhat unhappy that I feel the need to top my battery off periodically but with such heavy usage irregardless of battery type or brand LONG BATTERY LIFE REQUIRES IT.

OK I see I understand now , so this is part of that app thing so ,if I don’t use the app at all and I won’t have it talking to the truck. somebody on here indicated that , that’s what’s draining the battery , communication back-and-forth. What have you , thank you

Are they aware ? I'm sure.
Are they working on a fix ? Unlikely as I suspect it would be a heavy software update that would impact a lot, including some EPA recertification (more charge = in theory uses more "fuel")...or heavy physical updates due to bad parts.

Not a good look for @Ford Motor Company

My Hybrid will not charge the 12v battery beyond what is considered 70% charged.

Never. Ever.

It’s usually about 60% charged based on voltage and the truck’s own computing technique.

Still not sure if this is a programming mistake or just a poor quality 12v battery.

Since it still starts and gets to work every time, and I’m 18 mos into the 36 month warranty, I am just taking a wait and see approach.
