Rule #1 of car buying is never, ever buy the A model.

I have a late build 2023 and I'm honestly kinda bummed I didn't get a 2024 rollover tbh even if it meant waiting one or two more months.

That being said how did Ford screw up a CV axle? Those have been on cars for a hundred years.

We have to remind ourselves that all cars have issues, my father went thru three transmissions on his Acura in 100k miles. The 2010-2015 Prius has head gasket and ring issues. For Example.

Anybody else think there would be a lot less complaints about Maverick if they had never offered the Hybrid variation?

HRG
I would not have bought a truck unless it was a hybrid. I would have just kept the 96 Ranger for hauling heavier loads.

It's plausible that the Hybrid played a significant role in the vehicle's sales. Personally, I contemplated switching to the 2WD EcoBoost when my Hybrid faced delays. However, the primary reason I chose the Maverick was the Hybrid. If Ford hadn't introduced the Hybrid initially, sales might not have been as robust. The Hybrid generated buzz and likely influenced overall sales, providing valuable insights into customer preferences. This is my perspective, and I harbor no bias against the EcoBoost; my preference simply leaned towards the Hybrid.
I get that. But I do feel that alot of people gravititated towards the Maverick on its merits as a small truck. Thats what hooked me. Its really as big as a large 2 row suv but the cargo area is much more usable for... cargo. But it has a small footprint and is just simpler to deal with than a large truck. Really it could have had larger motors and would have gotten decent fuel mileage with its light relative weight in the truck world. I think hybrid was just a buzzword frosting on top of what is really a refreshing take on what people need and can afford in a truck.

Yeah I suppose so since the majority of the orders have been for hybrids and a large number of those would not have even been ordered if the hybrid had not been available.

If there wasn’t a hybrid option I’d still be driving my (uncomfortable and gas-sucking) Tacoma. Btw, not a single issue with my late ‘22 hybrid. All the hype and noise online (on both ends of the spectrum) is overblown.
