You'll need to go into FORScan, copy all the as-built data from the original module, and then import all the as-built info onto the new module.
Thank you, somehow missed your reply. I gotta get a cable for this. I assume a cheap bluetooth odb 2 adapter isn't good enough for the job? And Forscan reprogramming will hopefully avoid the issue with gas vs hybrid?

As you can see from this, the HVAC module is on the MSCAN bus. So at a minumum you would need the OBD scanner that has the manual HS/MS switch, but I would recommend one of the two models recommend by ForSCAN.

Thank you! Got it all working with a vLinker bluetooth adapter. Not sure I am backing up my codes correctly but I did download the "As Built" configuration and Forscan said I needed an internet connection for it, so I'm assuming it gets it from Ford somehow and backs it up on that computer?

Got one off ebay for $90 and installed it today. Worked great! I don't know why, but not having the temp on the dial just bugged me. Surprisingly the temp is stored in the module? I had to reset the temp/fan controls how I like them after the swap...

One word of caution - when prying up the buttons to swap, be careful with the plastics for the lights. I had one break on me so I swapped the whole thing out from the other one. I just used a small jewelers screwdriver to pry it up and out. I found it easier to pry from between the buttons than from the center as in OP's picture.

Would anyone know the factory part number for the dual zone HVAC control unit with the digital readout that came with the Maverick Lariat Hybrid?

I prefer buying a new one from a dealership now that the used ones on eBay and elsewhere are going near to what a new one cost.

Will cost you about $300 new, I bought mine on eBay for $85 with free shipping. Honestly, they aren't heavy wear items, most you find on eBay you would be hard pressed to tell if they were new or used.

Looks GREAT! Thank you for sharing and the info... very helpful. I appreciate people who take the time on something new(ish) to help others going after the same goal.
I do no t know how people keep finding the dual digital climate controls for so cheap! Every time I go on and look they are closer to $200. One of you that find a good deal on it should let the seller know to come on here and sell them. I am sure people would buy almost as many as the seller could get. I really want to do this. Just not for $200.

I see one that I think is compatible for $118 right now.. Why would we tell the seller that though, there's probably limited stock of these and that would just get them to mark it up even more

Good point. I guess I just like to hope that people would be content in making some money while filling a need and still being reasonable. ... LOL

Don't always search on eBay by the part number since many vendors don't use the OEM number. Do a broader search for "Ford Escape 2020 dual control climate control" or something to that effect. Then if you are looking for one from a Hybrid most vendors will list the VIN of the donor vehicle, google that and it will tell you if it is a Hybrid or EB. But don't buy one without seeing a picture of the unit, some vendors will mislabel as dual control and they aren't and some dual controls don't have heated seats or steering wheel switches. If you are patient and diligent you can find one at a decent price. I just bought one for my '24 Lariat Hybrid which isn't scheduled to be built for a couple of more weeks.

Thank you for the information. Is that for the Hybrid or Eco? I don't want to do any Forscan to make it operate correctly.

Price is not an issue. Due to my OCD, I don't want to get a used one from eBay. Who knows how many filthy and disgusting fingers touched it during its lifetime 😝. Plus, I'd rather have the piece of mind that if something doesn't go as intended, I can return it.

Again, thank you for your assistance. I appreciate it 👍 👊🏻

That's for a Hybrid.

I spoke with someone at the parts department of my local Ford/Lincoln dealership. They stated that the part number (LJ6Z-19980-V) is for a Ford Escape and not the Maverick?

According to him, the correct part number on the HVAC control module for the Maverick is NZ6Z-19980-M (with heated steering wheel) and NZ6Z-19980-A (without heated steering wheel).

I'm going to roll the dice and order it. If it doesn't end up being the correct part, I'll just return it and call it a wrap. The HVAC control unit is around $300 minus a $35 customer loyalty discount. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it ends up being the right part...🤞

Yes, it's from a Ford Escape, the Mav only used the dual controls with the digital readout for a short period of time in '22 so they are pretty rare to find if at all on eBay. The '20+ Escape, 21+ Bronco Sport and 22 + Mav are interchangeable with some slight differences. The bonus you get with an Escape is a nice chrome finishing strip that lights up, really dresses it up.

I hope NZ6Z-19980-M has the digital readout, can't find a picture of it, everything I've found on the internet and this forum points to NZ6Z-19980-B as being the older version with the readouts for the Mav.
