Not holding my breath on anything schedule this week or even next. My money would be on the 18th being the next wave.

Come on Ford! You can build the XL's!!!! 471 days so far!
They could but it sure looks like they don't want to.

Over 648 days I was able to get delivered two Ford Maverick XLT Hybrids.

There's obviously a higher profit margin with the XLT trim and even more so with the Lariat, hence that's why FMC limits the supply of XL-trimmed Mavericks. That said, I truly hope you get the truck you ordered.

Ya. They won't have room to store any new builds.

Anyone who wants my "rare" FWD XL with hitch can have it for the one time low cost of the ohh so common and run of the mill XLT 🙂!

FOMOCO, put up a private offer of $2500 off starting price for hybrid XL order holders to switch to eco just like you did with Bronco last year.

Ford has no need to do that as they only have 22,627 retail orders in the order bank and about 1,000 new orders added per week.

With Ford building about 10,000-13,000 Mavericks a month and at least seven more months (Mar-Sep) of production that means that Ford will build at least an additional 70,000 Mavericks.

So 4,000 new retail orders per month times six months is 24,000 new orders and adding in the current 22,627 and you get only 46,627 orders. Fleet Orders and International Orders can also get build with the 23,373 excess capacity.

So Ford can build all 2024 ordered Mavericks and have no need nor want to do what you are asking.

Ford can and will build all 2024 XL's this year but they have no reason to push them to the front of the line as XLTs and Lariats are more profitable.

So expect that the XL will have limited production each month.

That's only true if there are no parts constraints. Last month they apparently ran out of hybrid transmissions and this month it looks like found enough transmissions for the low number of hybrids being built, but they have exhausted the stock of hybrid engines now. What's next? Ford still needs to get their supply chains working properly. If they could readily make 665,000 Mustangs in 1965, why can't they fulfill the Maverick demand today for a lot less vehicles?

I think you’re misunderstanding going on. Ford has one big scheduling a month and weekly “clean up scheduling” in between. They have a certain number of parts available and they schedule to that number every month. On the weekly cleanups they look for other vehicles they might be able to squeeze in that don’t need those already allocated parts.

They aren’t “running out and then finding parts”, they’re building to exactly what they have available to build.
