...I can't wait to see the new Toyota truck for a possible swap.
My brother will take your Maverick off your hands, in exchange for his toyota avalon, with his frequent & unresolved CELs and more rattles than my Maverick XL ever thought of having.

...how does everyone else afford to get the recalls done or any warranty work?
Mine hasn't had any recalls except a software update the dealer took care of before I picked up the truck.
No warranty work needed either, other than rattles. My previous two cars (Subarus) both had awful rattles, so I'm used to that annoyance and will not be taking it to a dealer for that.

Sorry to hear, but it sounds like you got a lemon.

No.

I already have two Maverick Hybrids, and an EcoBoost. They have all been flawless. I love them all. I will not do the airbag recall and that's the only one that applies. I bought them cheap and stacked them deep in anticipation of state and federal laws that will drastically reduce the number of ICE vehicles sold in the not-too-distant future.

I have started shopping for a replacement for my 2016 F150 V8. I will not be buying a Hybrid F150 although they are the most numerous on dealer lots. They do not offer any material MPG benefit over the V8 for my use as far as I can tell from YouTube reviews. The additional complexity of the Hybrid system concerns me over the long run, and I plan to keep it a long, long time.

Nothing in my experience would keep me from recommending the Hybrid Maverick. It is an amazingly efficient design and a marvel of engineering. Since I have not hit 10K miles in any of them yet, the long term reliability is still unknown.

Merry Christmas to you all!

I was just wondering with all the negative threads about a Maverick hybrids That if you have one or own one would you buy a hybrid again yes or no ?
So we have a hybrid Maverick and a hybrid Corolla Cross, both MY 23 and so far we love them. The hybrids are perfect for our lifestyle. We sure miss the gas stations though 😩 If we were to replace one of these it would most likely be a hybrid but might consider a EV and keep one hybrid.

Yes for sure.
33k miles after 14 months of ownership, no problems, just great practicality and mileage.

Remember too that there's "only" 28k members on the forums, which is just over two months of production now that Hermosillo is making 13k Mavericks a month. Threads here are a small sample of the overall production and no one is going to post that they're having a perfectly normal day with their truck.
Thanks for that, Thunder...guy!!! I love my XL Hybrid; it is a 2022, and I have less than 5,000 miles on it. I am still buying "little things" for it. I ordered my truck back in June 2021 and didn't receive it until April 2022. During that interim, I joined the Forum, and was to brutalized by the negative input that I quit reading it. Then, once I got my truck and loved it, I resumed reading this forum. It is STILL loaded with negativity. I was convinced that I had bought a piece of crap, and was waiting for it to blow up. THEN, praise the Lord, you wrote this piece putting my feet back on the ground. That said, I will STILL watch my OEM Continental tires, as a lot of folks say that they are junk. That said, one poster got 90K miles on his tires.

Thanks again; I needed the pep talk. (I just bought the faux leather console lid cover. The Maverick lettering is a classy touch.)

Absolutely! My hybrid is the best truck I have ever owned. I like it better than my tundra, f150, Ram that I have owned in the past. I absolutely love saving $$ on gas and it has been rock solid so far.

Absolutely.
As Joe Walsh used to say, "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do"
But not about my '23 Lariat Lux hybrid!

Even if Ford lowered the price to $15k out the door in all 50 states and had every possible color combo/trim level on every dealer lot with no wait times, I wouldn't buy one (if I had to keep it and not sell it).

They simply break down too fast and have too many issues. Mine spent 4 of the 6 months I owned it at the dealer's service department and they still never fully fixed it. I drove an embarrassing 100hp 21mpg 3 cylinder Blue Ecosport POS loaner longer than I did my Maverick after the first ecosport they gave me overheated in 45 degree weather.

The Hybrids are plagued with faulty wire harnesses, drivetrain issues, electrical problems, recalls,

The XLs are a bit more reliable but the only ones I've seen with over 70kish miles so far had to have the transmission replaced/fixed or the axles changed at least once.

%70 of the Mavericks owned by members on this forum would be considered lemons in most states' lemon law text.
That Maverick with a replaced transmission was abused. Yanking out a F-350 truck stuck in snow. It was driven in deep snow banks on purpose just to see how well it would go. It got stuck and was rocked back and forth and revved up trying to get unstuck. There is a video on Youtube showing the abuse.

Yes, I would! I love my hybrid! Super impressed with the improvements in the drivetrain and efficiency.

My first experience with a hybrid was my sons 2012 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. When Ford announced the Maverick, I was interested, but decided not to be an early adopter. I ordered MY23 when the order banks opened in September 2022. While I waited, I purchased a 2017 Ford Fusion Energi Platinum PHEV. Received my Maverick earlier this month and I am presently surprised by just how good it is! My PHEV Fusion experience has me wishing for a PHEV version. If the rumored For Ranger PHEV comes to fruition, I will trade up. I have been spoiled by luxury items that did not make it into the top-of-the-line Maverick (HomeLink/ self-dimming mirror, Front distance sensors for parking, ambient lighting that changes color, Hood & Tailgate hydraulics, Black lug nuts with my BAP wheels, etc.). Yes, I know I can purchase/install/modify these items myself, but it would be nice just to have them installed or as an option package for the Lariat.

Absolutely Yes.

I wanted a truck to replace my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab and the Maverick fit the bill perfectly.

The Hybrid version was just icing on top of the cake.

I had the 2022 Hybrid Maverick for 1 3/4 years and sold it to pay for my 2023 Hybrid Maverick.

I have over two years of ownership of the Hybrid Maverick and if I had to replace it I would absolutely again purchase a Maverick.
