New 2024 XLT Hybrid shadow black with Black appearance/lux package

Picked up a new 2024 hybrid XLT shadow black with black appearance pkg/lux package yesterday. Traded in my 2022 XLT hybrid cactus gray with 43300 miles. I averaged 41.4 over the life of my 2022. I have a 2024 hybrid cactus gray ordered, but no build date yet, when last week my salesman called and they had a shadow black (not my fav color, but looks nice with the current pkgs) hybrid that a customer did not take and I could get it at A plan as I get employee pricing. Price was 31400 plus tax. I paid 23800 for my hybrid 2022, and they gave me 24k trade in. Can't beat that!

The black is growing on me already....thoughts?

Looks great especially with the BAP. I've got a shadow black Bronco, not the easiest of colors to keep clean but when it is boy does it look good. Invest in some mud flaps and perhaps a ceramic coating.

Love the way it looks, but would hate to be the one washing it, is drying, then a micro towel over and over, I used to wash cars for living, had plenty of customers with black cars that even brought their own detailing kit with black pre/wax/and spray all black, after the car was done and they comeback 2- 3 hours later the car was full of dust and in almost unrecognizable ugliness, then I need to blow air to car to take out the dust to show my work as the customer expects.

Black is one of the rewarding color to work once you see the results, but is the most unforgiving one when we talk about maintaining it.

But let's be clear, I love the way it looks at the pic.

I have a 2023 white with Black Appearance package. I’ve tried to black out as much as possible. Ordered black vinyl for side markers and reverse lights from Lamin-Ex, a stop light cover and black lug-nut covers from EBay. I sprayed the AWD badge with Plasti-Dip. Couldn’t resist the Stars and Stripes Maverick letters for tail gate though! Covered Ford emblem chrome surround with piece from eBay. Still need to tint front windows to match rears.

I went Oxford white with Black appearance package. Owned a black car years ago, nightmare to keep clean and extremely hot with Mississippi weather.
