I added this GTS visor on the rear window. Considering it's not a direct fit, it's pretty close.

I put one of these on the Sport Trac that I owned a long time ago. The window opened vertically instead of horizontal. Could leave the window open a couple inches even in the heaviest rain and no water in the cab. It obviously won't completely block rain on the Maverick, but maybe a light shower.

It stands out 2 3/4", so it should block all rain unless it's blowing sideways.

I figured the wide one would look better, and keep more ice and snow off the window.
Well no ice and snow here in Tucson but I think the idea is interesting for sure. Longer might be better there. 👍

For you it would keep more sun out!

Raining this morning. Drove to grab breakfast and still no rain on the slider window. A bit on the stationary glass. I'd say Misson accomplished.

Won't the ice and snow just accumulate in the visor instead? Plus without the heat from the cabin, it will take forever to melt.

Yes it will accumulate on the top of the visor. But I will be able to see out of the window where it counts. And it will melt off in the afternoon every day, as The back of the truck faces west at work.

On edit: My windows were frosted over this morning. The back only had frost on the visor, and bottom of the window. The area needed to see out was completely clear. So it is working.

Had one on my Toyota. Put it on in ‘92. Stayed there for 30 years. Made by Vent Visor.
If one was made specifically for the Mav, I‘d

I don't think they make these for trucks anymore. But the one I put on is very close.
