That's not what their Lux package said. There is no Full Size Spare from Ford
The lux pkg states "Full Size Spare" but does not clarify "Full Size" as being the max size that "Fills Up" the spare tire storage area! That's not what their Lux package said.
Compared to the RAM the Maverick is a full size spare vehicle.WTF?

Well I'm 500 miles from home so it'll have to do. Doubt the mismatched wheel thing matters much for a rear wheel on a hybrid though. They label it that, but doesn't seem too much better than a doughnut spare. The size doesn't match any trim levels factory tire size from what I understand on this forum. I always heard to never run different size tires on the same axle (not that any of this gospel).
Something must have changed then. My 2009 Ram had a real spare. Same size as the other tires. Still had air in it after 12 years too and got me halfway to Indiana and all the way back towing a 7000 lb camper.Compared to the RAM the Maverick is a full size spare vehicle.
Also consider the space constraints that might be under the Maverick compared to a Ram. You need a deep enough cavity to fit a spare without it sticking past the body work or rest of the undercarriage.Something must have changed then. My 2009 Ram had a real spare. Same size as the other tires. Still had air in it after 12 years too and got me halfway to Indiana and all the way back towing a 7000 lb camper.
I make the jokes round here! It's all because of inflation.
