Averages are not actual temperatures dude. Those readings are from the airport, which is on an island on the coast for goodness sake. It can get down to -15°C/5°F during cold snaps, and I'm not in Vancouver proper, farther inland where I am it gets colder.

as has essentially been mentioned, a hybrid engine can only do so much at 75mph. the maverick is still about as aerodynamic as a brick.

I filled up today. I am seeing ~525 miles of range through the tank (trip miles + miles til empty). Lots of remote starting keeping everyone warm.

The trip for this tank said 40.4 MPG. The trip computer is not awake during remote start cycles and oddly not aware of any fuel used during that time. If I do not use remote start during a full tank I see .1 MPG difference between trip and calculated (AFE Bias 950).

Also my heated seat and steering wheel are on and will basically remain on until March.

Damn this Hybrid is amazing ;)

So my 24 Lariat loaded will be a winner...NICE.
As for 75 heat, the fan is on lowest setting so it's not really as hot as you would think. Plus its on windshield and floor so you barely feel the air. I still crack a window once in awhile for fresh cool air.
I really like the EGR in channel visors. Useful at all times and help the overall look of the Mav. Also, just turned 12k worry free miles.👏
Exhaust Gas Recirculation in channel visors?

75?!?!?!
You drive a sweat box man holy crap.
I set mine to 65 and I still have to crack the window constantly. Got it set at 63 currently.
Well you are in Montana... might as well live at the Murdock Research Base... :ROFLMAO:

I've lived in the Sonoran Desert for 18 years now (Sonora MEX and Arizona USA)... My blood is so thin now, I can't even believe I used to ski at night in the Adirondacks, Berkshires and Green Mountains of New England as a younger man.

I'm with BlueGrassNBass... I slip into near hypothermia when the temp gets below 70degF.. LOL! Drove to Casa Grande AZ this morning with 52degF and Fog.... had the heat on in my wife's CRV for sure.

Looking forward to getting my EB AWD 4K in about 4 weeks. I'll be curious to see how my fuel economy is with my driving style and the conditions that I operate under...

My truck has no issues warming up in the 10 minutes I have set for auto start in NE Montana winters (basically southern Canada). The Escape hybrid would heat up just fine too, but the ICE would only get to the lowest temperature threshold.

Still, I can't even set the Maverick to low fan above 65 or it becomes a toaster, and that is with the vents on feet and windshield. Same went for the A/C. I would set it to about 73 on low. Any lower and I'd have blue hands in 5 minutes. Unfortunately the sun through the windshield meant I had to use the center vents. I know it's not just my truck either after seeing some other threads on here, but maybe some are worse than others in terms of temperature control. Either way, I just adjust the temp so it's comfy, I don't care what the number says. Stick that temperature sensor somewhere else and it reads totally different anyways.

lol, tbf, I never claimed to ENJOY the cold :ROFLMAO:
70 degree CA weather still runs in my blood. Desert cold is next level when it drops 10 degrees it feels like it's dropped 50. Here in MT we have two seasons - hot and cold. Winter certainly keeps the wood burning stove employed.

My AC in my house is set at 69 and during summer here when it hits the mid 70s my AC was maxed cool in the Mav🤣and too cold
Some of this stems from 20 years of running a hole hog drilling out houses and apartments for wiring. My nerves in right hand are toast and my issue is called white finger. They feel like they're frozen off and the pain sucks when to cold. Again...construction years and body wear is different then normal wear. I can't wait for heated steering wheel. I also carry a rechargeable hand warmer to keep the pain away during winter. And I'm looking to move to a cold dry sunny warmer place😁

36 mpg at 70-80mph for 2 week average. Mid 30s lower 40s air temp. Kept my heat at 75 because being cold is for sissies. So Mybrid is about 100 miles less a tank if I had to drive i-5 consistently in the cold. Yes it's significant but I don't think it warrants a AWD 2.0 during summer. That is all
Don't know about that cold comment man. I like it cold.
36 for this small truck at 80 MPH is GREAT. My 2015 Nissan Versa Note which is a tiny car at 68 mph all highway could just pull 39. Had I been going 80 I doubt it would have done 36. More like 32. But in NY 80 gets you a tickect.
Picked up my hybrid in Florida and drove back to L.A. 3200 miles at near 75 and averaged near 39. However, weather was ideal and I had the cold air on at all times. Still averaging 39 with my mix of hyway and in town where I regularly am over 44 sometimes higher, except on short trips.
