Even here with a $2K markup (sold as a package) The Lariats seem to not be selling as well as there has been a couple of hybrid lariats that have been there a few weeks now.

Yeah I doubt they will go under MSRP anytime soon, but we are seeing them more and more so I don't think it will be to many more months and we will see them at MSRP, and makes me wonder if in another 6-8 months will they start to pile up. Seems like the 24 price increase has helped slow it down for sure.
Maybe they will offer special finance rates, making a swap/purchase a real thing...interest savings are real if you finance. Tax is carried over on a trade in, (in CA)

With the price increases the 24's already have a built in $2-3000 markup plus less features and worse color choices than the 23's. It's no wonder sales are slowing. I'm 75% sure I'm keeping my 23 and letting the dealer keep the 24 I ordered. It'd be nice to have a Lariat, but not worth an extra $6000 nice unless someone is willing to give me stupid money for the '23.

Bought a 23 Lariat Lux loaded 2 weeks ago for $800 under sticker, no dealer fees of any kind. Right off the lot. Was listed for 5k over 2 months ago, then 2k over 1 month ago. Sales have slowed, so even though inventory is limited, so are buyers.
The 24 model year is being produced making the 23's have a year of depreciation on them. The longer the dealer holds the more interest they pay. Here in Texas they are still being priced with markups from anyone who cancels their order.

My 24 Lariat hybrid is actually less money than the similarly equipped 23 I had on order. It also comes fully loaded with more features. With Fords private offer and farm bureau offers we will get 3000 off msrp. Your mileage will very by trim and whether or not this is a new order or a rollover. We also preferred the new color Terrain as it will match our motorhome. The Mav will be our toad. Also factor in sales declines across the board due to inflation, interest rates and slow demand.

Been thinking about this a lot. Seems like maybe Ford aggressively priced the Mav, especially the hybrid, to build momentum on a vehicle that would have otherwise been passed over by the American consumer if it was too close in price to say a ranger.

Helping keep consumers incentivised through issues expected perfecting and bringing a new vehicle to market. Not to mention COVID/production issues.

They see the market ahead, the supply chain easing, and many of the hybrid issues ironed out. So the built in incentive of no upcharge comes off the hybrid. The model line in general tightens up and increases in price to firm up margin now that it's becoming an established vehicle and demand / supply straighten out.

Just my 2 cents... But if you look at it that way. Those of you who got a trouble free hybrid got a hell of a deal!

I just bought my '23 XLT FX4 on Friday, it was a dealer stock order (blue sticker), got it with X-plan pricing so I was pretty happy.

Agreed. My 22 Hybrid XLT Lux + 360 CoPilot was $26.600 - $500 Farm Bureau discount. So, I took it home for under $28K OTD, including all taxes and fees.
This was before the progessive loss of content in the following model years. It was basically loaded.

A steal and great ownership experience for the first 22,000 miles. Wish it would have lasted.

The first dealer we looked into had 26 on the lot. But they were sold!
Asked if could test drive one, got a XLT 4WD Tremer to drive. It was for sale. Almost brought it, but didn’t. Salesman says can order one, but prob wait 9-12 months fir delivery.
Another dealer had one on web site, but marked it In Transit. Called about its ETA, salesman said it might be on their lot. Called back, said yes it’s in. Next day I was at front door as they open. Got the Area 51, 2.0 XLT AWD.

Did not know this..... as I haven't noticed when I have seen them. I will keep an eye out in the future
If you are curious, you can go to this Ford website (Ford Maverick® - Search Inventory) and see what some (not sure if all) the recent Mavs produced in/near your ZIP code. Looking at them individually, you can see the sticker and if it is blue (stock) or green (customer) order. If you are looking for one, you MAY be able to find a stock order coming to a dealer near you!

One of the things I have noticed recently is one dealer close to me has ELEVEN in this pool and ALL of then are Blue stickers! They are a variety of Hyb/EB; Trim levels (2 XL, 6 XLT, 3 lariat), etc. Was blown away when I saw this especially since they are a pretty small dealer No other dealer in my area has more than 2 from this website.

Thanks for the link. Looks like my dealer, Folsom Lake Ford, has several stock units on the lot. Blue window stickers on all of them.

I went to their website and they have even more stock units on the way. Looks like some people will be able to go to the dealer and drive away with a Maverick. With a dealer markup of course.

Those listed on Ford page may not be in dealers hands yet, just destined for them. For those that might be interested, they might be able to contact dealer b4 vehicles arrive and reserve one?

Correct. That's why I went to my dealers website and checked their inventory.

They showed eight new Mavericks in stock, all with blue window stickers, and nine more with blue window stickers in transit.
