Maverick inventories at dealerships nonexistent

Can confirm. Picked mine up Monday 9/25 and my guy said if I didn't take delivery, they'd mark it up 5-5.5k and it'd be gone within a few days.

XL and XLT's still seem to be selling in my area as long as they are not loaded with options. When they are getting to high 30's and low 40's with their $5K mark ups is where it seems to hit the wall

I just checked yesterday in the south central Texas area. Everyone I could find on the lot had at least a 5K markup on it. Found one Lariat Hybrid in Cyber Orange that was manufactured in July. Still sitting on the lot. Almost 42K before TTL. I've waited this long and will continue to wait for my 24.

Yeah, they had 2 in Cyber Orange.... I guess they managed to sell 1.

Gas is on the rise again and with the current policies in place that trend will continue. As a result the prices on just about everything will continue up. The hybrid will be in high demand with low supply for the foreseeable future.

Dealer inventory in Nevada means they took delivery of a pre-order and Fore site shows it as available until the person picks it up or refuses it. The so called used ones are going for at least 10k over msrp

Tell you what I’ll blame the rising prices on Ford since that is apparently approved by the moderators. Ford’s current policies.

I'm sure the Moderators would allow a link to an article that highlights explicit policies in place that are causing high gas prices, but I'm totally on board with blaming Ford too.

That would take several links to be sure. I’ll just say I’m convinced fuel prices are going to go up dramatically unless or until we see a deep recession which is quite likely to happen. All by design at FMCO. Dirty rats anyway.

One dealer has a lot of them, every couple of weeks it seems like a whole new batch coming in and it will be about 15 at a time. 3 or 4 will be reserved.

If they are building to stock, the vehicle would have a blue window sticker. Orders are green window stickers. I haven't heard mentioned on the forum that someone has bought one that wasn't an order (theirs or someone else's)

I have heard about unscrupulous dealers making up fake customers to get vehicles and sell at substantial markup.

Carmax here in Knoxville always has 1 or 2 and Carvana has 100+ at any given time…plenty of opportunity to overpay for your Maverick and never have to step foot on your local Ford lot

Saw one sold today with a 5k market adjustment and the dealer had it on the lot less than a day. I think the market for Mavericks stays hot for a while even as the market for higher priced trucks cools.

I just paid a $5,000 market adjustment on a declined on the lot 23 lariat with no sunroof or bed liner or tonneau cover… I have heard that ship orders without a few options added then mark the vehicle up after the consumer does not take delivery…
