I was a huge disbeliever that these puck lifts were going to cause premature CV axle problems, I fought with people who told me it was going to happen, I asked for proof from people on Social Media that would comment that it was going to happen, I never thought it would happen to me, I

Live and learn. What are the damages, cost-wise?

Yep... been saying it for years and I'll continue to say it...

Pucks/Spacers are garbage and a waste of money.

I also learned the hard way... every 30k on a previous F150 and that was after the IWB mods. I went against my better judgement and put a spacer lift on a Subaru and it totally ruined it. Terrible shifting, harsh ride, you name it. Took it off and it was good to go. That was the last time. Put an actual suspension lift on my Tacoma and it's night and day difference.

Also, pretty awesome cat. Does it respect your "don't touch my tools" rule? Cuz it seems like wants to turn a wrench.

I’ll find out next week when I take it to Ford, If they deny the warranty it’ll be around $300 for me to replace it myself

Take off your pucks and then bring it in. No reason for them to deny it then.

Np. Keep in mind there are reports of failing CV's even without lifts/levels, but it certainly doesn't help. Good luck, let us know how it goes. Play it cool lol.

Hey, I'm new to lift's. What are spacer lift and what are puck lift, and what are the regular lifts where it doesn't cause premature breakage?

Puck lifts bolt in between the top of the Strut and the body of truck to give you lift, This changes the geometry of the CV axles possibly causing issues with the CV axles going bad prematurely, There are spring lifts where you replace the Front struts and rear springs, They are supposed to be better than Spacer lifts But it seems these axle problems are just a bad batch of axles and if you have these axles on your Mav they are going to go bad lifted or stock

Hey, I'm new to lift's. What are spacer lift and what are puck lift, and what are the regular lifts where it doesn't cause premature breakage?
No such thing. Lifting in any form changes angles. Suspension lifts simply remove the suspension being the limiting factor of the lift and that's why they are the smarter option. The shocks/struts on suspension lifts are designed with the new amount of travel in mind. Spacers are only implemented to minimize the change in angles... they do not fully solve it.

Lifting is always a risk. If you want to minimize that risk you will have to spend the loot to do so, but there is still no guarantee. From personal experience lifting a unibody - it's not worth it. More than the CV angles are the added stress to the rest of the driveline because things like dif drops do not exist, so you are only adding spacers to the outside and doing nothing to compensate on the inside.

Sorry to be debby downer here. I like a lifted truck and have always ran them but it's just not worth it on trucks like these. If ground clearance is an issue, the Tremor is your best bet. Added benefit would be 4WD to make that extra clearance truly worth it where it counts, downside is the loss in MPG. Just throw some 235-245/65R17's on and call it good on these AWD unibody Mavericks.

Wasn't there a lift kit that Ford was coming out with that would be covered under warranty?

Some Ford dealers were installing aftermarket lift kits on Mavericks, If installed by Ford the warranty will not be voided
