That should not be necessary!
Not on a new vehicle, with a new battery, and a new dealer-installed alarm system!
The truck needs a stronger battery!
Just between us…….
I don’t think that that will solve the problem. Just delay it.
The charging algorithm needs amending.
You are absolutely correct. Also some folks like myself can’t be without a vehicle for long. If there is an easy fix, for instance a better battery, than it’s a lot less hassle the taking to a dealership. I’m glad there’s still great dealers out there that give loaners. I too think it’s an incorrect charging algorithm. Isn’t the maverick hybrid setup have a smaller battery compared to Cmax/Fusion/Escape? I just got the 2 recall software/pcm updates and fully charged my battery this morning. 🤞🏻

All these solutions: paused mode/ deleting Ford Pass.....putting the battery on a trickle charger, changing the battery...definite solutions that I would explore but pretty unacceptable for a new car. Why should I have to do extra do prevent this? I already went the extra mile to buy a Nocco battery booster (good to have in general but still ironic because its a NEW vehicle)
100% agree this should not be an issue for anyone that drives their truck on a regular basis.
My truck has been in the shop for 1.5 weeks now for this issue. The cable overlay recall is already done and it didn't fix the instant deep sleep mode problem....so I don't know what these guys are doing honestly....At least they got me a rental (though it's a corolla...and it still has more bells and whistles than the XL version..hahaha)

Don't want to jinx anything but my 23 so far so good. My drives vary from short 2-3 miles to 35+ at a time. Rarely use the app, but I did disable vehicle location during first few days of ownership...could location refresh every so often adding to the draining issues ?

I deleted the app and disabled everything I could disable in the truck and it didn't change anything.

I don't think the app is the root cause. May make things worse, but disabling it was not a cure for me.

Two or three people have reported swapping the 12v battery for a higher grade brand name battery solved everything.

While I think Ford SHOULD pay, it may be simplest solution to just buy a better battery.

There's still a chance the truck is fine and just a bunch of crappy 12v batteries went into Mavericks.

Interesting. Good to know. Fingers crossed.
Let's hope @Ford Motor Company is working hard to resolve these deep sleep / battery draining issues along with defective CV axles amongst many other things.

You would think if that was the case they would issue some tsb or csp. Where we get nothing. There are actually some related tsb's but it's unclear if that fixes the issue.

Funny how I've NEVER had these issues driving a Honda or Toyota....
I never had them in a Ford either. I've bought 8 of them never once was one recalled either.

Well, obviously the alarm was bad or installed incorrectly.
I don't really care because I didn't pay for it, I actually told them to remove it when I bought the truck. They wanted $600 for the POS.
Anyway, I've had the truck sit for about 4 days since then and no more problems/alerts.

It may not be a battery problem. A bigger battery, I believe, would only delay the undesired result.
I think that it’s a charging problem. Perhaps easily fixed, but only at the cost of a few MPGs.

Has anyone else noticed the message in the Ford app has changed? - Instead of 'deep sleep' the random message may now state that the vehicle has gone into battery conservation mode, nothing is wrong, to turn remote features back on drive your vehicle, blah, blah, blah, rather than state Deep Sleep 90% of the time.

For what it's worth my random messages only began in late Aug or early Sept, after spending several hours around the vehicle, which may keep the electronics awake. - Washing & detailing both the Mav and my wife's Crosstrek in the driveway.

The 12v feeds shows 14.5v or higher when the ignition is on, so I'm inclined to believe its charging the battery, or trying to charge the battery. I strongly suspect that the issues are the Chinese made batteries being used. (Most of the OEM batteries appear to carry a made in China label). I really need to run a line out, connect up the automatic desulfator/charger and see what it indicates, along with the battery tester.

For maintaining or just lightly charging, are you disconnecting the battery, or while still connected in the vehicle? - And if the former, how many of the settings are lost. (My Subaru would loose radio pre-sets, PCM learning, TCM learning, and required a Throttle Position Re-Learn if the battery was disconnected).

Thanks
