The last time I contacted Ford Customer Svc the representative told me not to believe n on websites like MTC. My response to her was if your company was being honest with their customers who had a vehicle ordered, there’d be no reason to come here. How can anyone believe Ford who tells you that because you have been waiting so long, we’re gonna give your order over other orders because you’ve been waiting so long and then you find out there are orders scheduled long after you placed yours over a year ago.

I have long ago lost in credibility in Ford’s management and their taking care of their customers. Even if I were scheduled it would be well into 2024 before it was built and their Pony Express delivery of being shipped. The delivery fee they charge must be based on the number of days it takes from the plant to the dealer.

Ford has lost a customer after this fiasco forever.

I would agree that Ford's process can leave alot to be desired. Beyond that, two words come to mind; Constraints and Allocations.

I'm guessing there is a Chevrolet forum somewhere...

Maybe he needs a SantaCruz forum.

Wait, you got mad at a customer service rep for telling you not to believe everything you read on the internet?

I hope you didn’t wire your deposit to a prince in Nigeria.

Ii’m sorry to all those I may have offended. First of all, I’m not clueless. I didn’t say I tagged on that customer svc rep. In fact I was very courteous to her and told her that I appreciated the job she did with customers who call. I gave her a rating of 5 for her help. You assumed I was rude to her which is just the opposite of what I discussed with her. I don’t need a lesson on employees on the lower food chain.
One thing I have noticed is that there are others who are quick to judge those who share their experiences. And yes 19 days is reasonable for shipping but that isn’t the norm. I was just commenting on what Ford tells us and then doesn’t follow through.
itsjust Sad to find information on here that Ford doesn’t share with loyal Ford loyalists.
Finally, if you want to critique my posts, it’s ok with me. Please don’t call me clueless. I spent forty years in sales and customer and being honest with your customer is the most important thing you can provide. Don’t assumed things that might have occurred during a call to customer svc. I was very nice to the lady and was complemented me at the conclusion of my call.
I’m sorry I shared my comments and of you were quick to make a judgment.
Rest assured I have learned from this post. Here is wishing everyone is happy with Ford. I just think they didn’t prepare for this product introduction. Good wishes to all of you.

Excellent response, I likewise apologize for acting a bit of a jerk. 🤝

Some of my friends have reported 10-13 days for delivery to Texas. But were a bit closer to Mexico.

Since you are new here you need to do a lot of reading on how the car manufacturers/car dealer interactions are controlled by franchise laws, how the allocation system and constraints work on ordering a vehicle, supply issues, how shipping from central Mexico to locations across the country varies even to the same location plus the fact that once it is loaded on a train at the factory the car manufacturer has zero control on the route or timing for its journey. And how Ford gives courtesy information even though you aren't the customer for them, the dealer is. You are the dealer's customer, the dealer is Ford's customer.

My truck was built 1/12/23...but didn't leave Mexico until 2/4/23...and didn't arrive in Wyoming until 3/8/23. I lived.

Wow! You are the exception. I purchased a 22 maverick on 10/21/21 and did not receive it until 10/14/22.

Clueless? Maybe not. But if you actually read many of the posts here, you WOULD know that you could not have placed an order for a 2023 Maverick after September 2022. Since you were not scheduled for a 2023, then YOU and your DEALER must bring forward that order to a 2024 model.

This is ALL on your Dealer. Do you even know if Ford has/had your order? Not clear when you placed an order. But even if placed when 2024 order bank opened you have not waited all that long. More importantly it seems all 2024 orders are likely to be built. And MUCH sooner after ordering than any previous Maverick year models were.

Satisfaction all starts with the Dealer. Do you have paperwork showing your order was entered? Does the Dealer have allocation for Mavericks? And so on.....
