My less than month old Maverick has dings all over the hood and roof. I'm in New Hampshire and we have had a lot of acorns this year. I've heard them hit before but didn't realize until today that they were damaging the hood and roof. 😡 I don't have room on the other side of the driveway unless we stack the cars. Driveway is way to full we have two motohomes, a utilty trailer, a Traverse and two Mavericks.

I don't park my cars under trees anymore. Ford triplecare covers PDR. The plan can be bought during the sale or online under 5k miles. It does not cover hail damage. I have the plan on another car. Keep in mind that unlike ESP, Triplecare plan starts on the day and mileage of transaction. This option might be too late for your situation.

Dang that sucks. Yeah I've got 2 that overhang my driveway, mine are definitely dropping this year. Fortunately I can park in the garage.
I used to let them hit my Tacoma, never saw any damage, but the Maverick I am worried abt LOL

Sorry to hear that and I know what you mean. Pine cone got my hood. Now I just park out on the street. Never had that problem with my old CRV or highlander. Pretty sure the hood will dent if you lean on it wrong.

Park mine under an aluminum roof carport. Last year it sounded like a war if you stood under it on the right day. Dodge Ram never affected by acorns, but Mav will stay under the carport. 👍

I once saw a squirrel tossing acorns at my Maverick. Got my BB gun and took him down real quick. The next day the whole village was lobbing acorns and pine cones at my Maverick. I had to move because of them.

Edit: just to be clear the squirrel was throwing acorns from a tree from above. Hence my BB gun was needed. I bbq’ed that sucker afterwards. He tasted a little gamey but god bless his soul.

It will. I saw a picture somewhere here on the board of a good sized dent that a dealer service rep made on the hood when he was leaning over inspecting a windshield wiper. If I remember correctly the dealer replaced the hood! I hope these trucks aren't made of tin foil.

I have a Black Tremor and I am getting blasted with acorns for the last two weeks. However I don't notice any damage from it. What damage do you have? I think the hood is aluminum and that's basically taking the biggest hit on my vehicle.

Luckily you took down that squirrel!
Could have missed and blown a fender off!😳

Sarcasm, done correctly can be funny. I find this lacking in that.

You ought to see me cringe when I have to pass under a walnut tree. They are splattered all over the roads and I can imagine what the top of the Mav, or the windshield, would look like if it took a coupe of those, bigger than golf balls, dropping at the wrong moment.
