1- Is there a place in system configuration where you can set up the re-gen function to be more aggressive than the current settings in a Hybrid? Context, I've driven a BMW i3 before and its regen is so aggressive that the moment you let go of gas it starts slowing down as if you are applying brake already. I kinda got used to it. Since the name of the game for a hybrid is to save as much gas as possible, I wonder if I can truly practice one-pedal driving (without the need to press on the brake padel)?

2- I tried the lane-keep assist function and it's almost not usable. It tends to react so late that the truck is almost going outside of the lane, then it makes an adjustment to push the car back in the other direction, making it into a zig-zag pattern. I look like a drunken fool driving like that. I've driven other newer vehicles with lane-keep assist, and they are pretty good at keeping the car in the center of the lane. I only need to put my hand on the wheel once in a while. I wonder if there's a setting somewhere to adjust this behavior. Any thoughts?

lane assist and lane centering are two different CP360 functions, which one do you have?

I only have XLT + CP360, not the higher kind.

The full lane centering is really really good on the Maverick. The truck basically drives itself on the highway.

Lane keep assist, which you're describing, is really just there as a backup in case you drift inadvertently. It's not supposed to really be in charge of steering

Oh I see, the "self-driving-ish" lane centering + adaptive cruise control is only available on Lariet + CP360 right?

Others here report using L all the time is the closest you'll get to one-pedal driving. I think slightly more forced regen with L plus one of the driving modes (eco or slippery I think?)

You *can* drive with “L” on all the time. The truck is designed to do this and it will not harm it mechanically. This is as close as you can get to one pedal driving.

It may harm the truck when you are rear ended though. Unlike your i3, the Maverick does not light up the brake lights when slowing using “L”.

Eco mode will increase the amount of regen off throttle, but it will likely still be nowhere near the BMW.

I would like to see a study on the reliance on technology causing the accidents. Where I live you basically have to guess where the lanes are, no paint ever. Sometimes there are pucks, then they scrape the pucks to do construction and miss half and put down some new pucks. I was upset that the 23 had 360 and not 360+ but then again at least I am still being an attentive driver and get a little light flashing if i cannot see the smart car down there in the blind spot.

In regards to #1, not really.

There is Eco Mode, which gives better regen, on the shift knob there is "L" for low gear, but you need to remember that Maverick is a Hybird not an EV. The battery is only 1.1 kw, so if you "coast" you will recharge the battery.

Have you driven your Maverick in L all the time?

When I drive in "L" I soon get the battery to 70-72% or the high rate of charge/discharge heats battery at which time the engine braking replaces the Regen braking.

I have the lane centering on my Lariat. If you get to a road where the lines are not visible, the truck turn off the lane centering itself because it doesn't know. That's why it isn't a "self-driving" vehicle. It helps, especially when driving in wind or with traffic. But it isn't meant to replace the driver.

As MaveRichard said, you can turn on "L" mode for really aggressive regen braking but I only use this to limit speed when going down the hills near my home. It does not turn on the brake lights so I see its use in 1-pedal driving as pretty dangerous. NHTSA should create a regulation mandating that brake lights illuminate under such conditions, but until that day we need to watch our own 6.
