What ESP Warranty plan did you all go with?

Maverick is suppose to be built this week and I will be buying an extended warranty from Flood Ford, but not too sure which I should pick to be honest. I live in Michigan and drive about 12k miles per year, any insight would be greatly appreciate to helping me pick the best plan.

I did Granger but they and flood are essentially the same price. 10 yr 100K seems to be the sweet spot in pricing. Make sure and get bulb protection.

Granger Ford has a site (sorry would have to search for it on here) that you can compare all the levels and prices.
I have not purchased recently but have always done a 100K mile as I drive 20-22K a year

Which did you go with - powertrain / base / extra / or premium? and I do not see bulb protection on flood fords website, unless im missing something?

I live in Michigan, I went with Granger Ford premium ESP 75k/5 years, 100 deductible. Cost 655 from Zack at Granger. I have a 2022 hybrid I got in Michigan dealer on 12/23/21. Have 39+K miles, used the ESP once already for emission light. Cost me 100.

Premium ESP. I passed on the maintenance plan and wheel add-on.

I did premium and $200 deductible.

After you choose your coverage length this page comes up and I suggest you choose bulb coverage which only comes with premium care.

I did premium and $200 deductible.

After you choose your coverage length this page comes up and I suggest you choose bulb coverage which only comes with premium care.

I see now, thank you!

Was looking at premium but the 10 year 150k miles at about $3500 felt a little steep compared to the Base coverage at about ~1700 or so

Understand. I drive less than 10k per year so I was able to get premium for around $1500. I doubt I would have paid out $3500 myself.

I generally agree with this, don't think I've ever bought an extended warranty in my life, but considering an exception on my Mav. Given the fact that Ford still hasn't quite worked out all the kinks in the Mavs, it seems prudent. I only drive about 8k miles a year, have no intention of buying another truck before I croak, and into my old age/limited income need to NOT get surprised by a big truck expense. Given all that, makes some sense to extend the warranty. But I'm not yet a month into ownership, I'll decide after a year.

My motto is I buy cradle to grave. That way I don't purchase someone's else's vehicle with too many miles that was not properly maintained. I get brand new with the latest safety features and can maintain it properly for a long life.

Our last three vehicles which span from 2008 to today have had a grand total of two repairs which totaled $169.26.

Wife's 2009 Honda CR-V Ex purchased new December 2008 and still owns as of now September 2023: 14 years + 9 months. Current mileage: 90,121 or 6,109 annual miles.

Repairs were Door Jam Switch ($16.18 Repaired myself) and a varment chewed the lower hose going to the windshield washer hose ($153.08 Dealership repair)

My 2014 Honda Fit Ex purchased new September 2014 and sold to Carvana October 2021. Had it 7 years + 1 month and mileage was: 43,824 or 6,187 annual miles. Was sold prematurely for purchase of my 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid.

No repairs at all.

My 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid purchased new December 2021 and sold to Carvana August 2023. Had it for 1 year + 8 months and mileage was: 9,262 or 5,575 annual miles.

No repairs at all.

Recalls and TSB 23-2060 were done. These are not to be considered as repairs.

I sold my 2022 Maverick not because of any reliability issues but because my 2023 Maverick is currently being built. The reason for this is the 2022 was missing the trailer hitch.

My 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid will be brand new with all of the issues talked about in this forum fixed. The 2023 Ford Maverick comes with a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and an eight-year/100,000-mile hybrid component warranty.

I have no need whatsoever for an extended warranty even with me being old and drive low annual miles.

Exactly what I was thinking, I have a 2009 ford focus and maintained it well, but had some costly repairs over its life time. I would not have worried if it was a honda, but ive been through the good old ford repairs, especially coming from a family of all fords, lol
