No More GE Appliances!

Not sure how I missed this, but apparently GE sold their home appliance business to Chinese based Haier back around 2016 or so. Really disappointed to find this out. Have bought GE appliances for years.....never again. We were searching for a new laundry pair, and discovered this, so thought I'd share in case anyone else didn't know or cares.

Anyone have any recommendations on a laundry pair?

I just had to replace mine after about 20 years I went with the front load Maytag set. Quiet and efficient so far

Our whirlpool appliances have been a tremendous let down. I replaced the heating unit twice in our dishwasher within two years and the replacement dishwasher sucks as well. The handle on our microwave is literally deteriorating down to the screws. I had to replace the heat unit in our oven as well. The ice machine in our fridge stops working nearly every week. Very annoying

We sold Speed Queens for decades, they were built tough, I am still using a Speed Queen dryer from 1980! I was going to get a Speed Queen washer when I had to replace mine several years ago, but they didn't offer a front loader.

My whirlpool Duet washer and dryer were great for actually 22 years. Guy who set up the Maytag's said, "you won't get that of any appliance made today"

Well, then I guess we don't eat American grown food either. The harvesting's done by h1b visa holders, and I'm sure a lot without visas
