Mabett mudflaps arrived today. Install this weekend. Discount applied.
Last Saturday before college football. Hot weather, minor novice mistakes made and corrected. Quality and fit meet modest expectations. Ceramic coating (no vested interest) Next Level Ceramic in Lakeway TX.
So, you can turn the front wheel out of the way obviously, but it wasn't to me. Next, you can rotate the plastic slot for easier extraction, now obvious to me. Finally, the third upper slot is too high, don't pull that out. I did twice on one rear and one front wheel well. It's actually the fourth. Don't pull it out.
Humbly, Flooding

@MABETT the front flaps are really loose tried new clips etc ended up using black silicone to hold them. Any ideas?

I'll add that when pulling out the existing clips it seems best to wedge from the smaller outer head. There's a slot you can spin over to get one of the fork tines of the tool in. This could reduce the tear out hole size and maybe is why the front flaps jiggle more for some than others. The mistake in technique is masked on the rear flap because 2 screws go back in with the 1 clip.

Yeah, they made it through 50mph drive tonight but still really loose. Going to buy more silicone seal…you’re right about the holes…

I added a couple of wraps of electrical tape around the clips that were a bit loose.
I also added a piece of a heavy duty rubber bed mat that I had above the left rear flap to cover the gap people are concerned with. I slid the piece behind the plastic wheel well and attached the bottom to the rigid horizontal section of the flap. Made the attachment by drilling 2 holes and using the extra clips that came with the flaps.

Very pleased with these mud flaps!

Rockblokz made in Orem, UT and yes, they are CNC machined by order, presumably not by a 13 years old since they cover better than any other mudflaps for the Maverick. Both sides are flat, my preference, that prevents mud/snow buildup unlike other mudflaps with all of the crevices toward the tire.

Mabett mudflaps are made in China, presumably not by a 13 years old on a plastic extrusion machine...

But, each of its own....
Mabett's are made in China, but actually moulded, not cut trom flat stock. Flexible and rigid in the right places. $30 vs $130 or what ever insane price they think they are worth. I'll take the better design and spend the $100 on something better than mudflaps.

I had no issue with spending 100 extra bucks more on the mudflaps, that covers and fits better, and doing so also supports a small US business. For me, it's been well worth for getting the Rockblokz mudflaps. For you, not so much and leave it with that...

And I drove to Weathertech which is local to me to get some good USA accessories they make. They make great stuff, and are worth spending a bit more on. Too bad our trucks are not USA made. Every truck I bought before this was. Que Sera Sera.

You just couldn't "leave it with that", resulting in "Give someone long enough rope..." 😱

When you drove to Weathertech, any reason why you didn't pick up their mudflaps? After all, "They make great stuff, and are worth spending a bit more on." Your words, not mine; oh wait, they are even more expensive than the Rockblokz mudflaps. Gotcha, talk is cheap and so is Mabett mudflaps, made in China.

As stated earlier, "each of its own", nothing wrong with going either ways. Mabett makes good and cheap mudflaps, good for you. Just don't tell me that my choice of mudflaps, that I like with my money is wrong.

Well I already have 2 sets of mud flaps for this truck that were bought before the truck arrived. I didn't need a third set.

I never said Your choice of mudflaps is wrong. It was the choice that made sense for YOU. And that should be all that matters to you. Not what other people post. Or posting this crap in Mabett's post.
