My first mortgage was 18%. We are nowhere near HIGH interest rates,,,,,,

We got a little side tracked. Just looping it back to the original ask here. Does anyone ever post the # of orders?

The info I've found on this forum has been awesome. Thanks to all who participate and provide those #s.

Would be nice to be able to look at the order count and do some projections comparing MY24 orders against production capacity.
I believe when Ford does their quarterly (monthly?) calls they post the number of vehicles sold broken down by model.

The ordered Mavericks are not sold until produced and delivered. How will that tell us the number ordered now? Maybe Tim Bartz can shed some light.

Just look for post by "Newface" with weekly constraints, you will find the number of unfilled orders.

I.e.: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...tion-key-commodity-constraints-8-14-23.35854/

You see the number 21,789 = that is unfilled orders for the US market.

Now, just wait a week or two to see the constraints for 2024 Mavericks and unfulfilled orders.

When the first "Latest Maverick Production Key Commodity Constraints List for MY24" gets published will be the first time the number of unscheduled MY24 orders will be seen.

This is the latest MY23 Key Commodity Constraints List that shows 21,789 orders in the order bank that are still unscheduled.

Ford Maverick Approx. Number Of MY24 Ordered. Latest Maverick Production Key Commodity Constraints (8-14-23)

Don’t look at the stock market today!
I think you miss the point. The stock market is often inverse of interests rates. In fact the interest rates are rising to cool everything, including the stock market. So... Its kind of expected.

Here another one... Your house and your Maverick aren't worth that Zillow and carvana say they are either, never we're, it's a blip, expect it to drop. The more you believe it and leverage yourself out, cause sales people tell you you're rich, to get you to buy more... the more risk you're left holding.

It's like a auction almost, on a larger scale. Sometimes the frenzy in the room makes people bid too much because they perceive a value of the item to be high because everyone in that room wants it's and partially wants just want to "win". Then two days later they realize, wow only the three people in that room loved the thing that much and other people only would pay 1/2 that. Markets will always swing based on what people want, when, and many other factors. Look at what happened with gym equipment.

There is a show called "The liquidator". It does a good job showing how fluid our economy actually is. The mentality those guys have to have are a good example of how to expect and harden yourself to market fluctuations.

I thought this was a Maverick site no a political one.
I tried to loop it back early but didn't work well. Hopefully this is just semi-related discussion until we get #s report.

In honesty everyone's done a good job keeping it from being political. It's been pure finance and economics. Which is very related to Mavericks, sadly ☹. More about how a herd (us) reacts to a commodity in demand and can influence the cost.

Found out some info a little more on subject this morning regarding inventory in relation to new orders.

Dealer stock search uncovered a few XLs within 30 miles of me on lots. About 4.

Called and asked if they except x-plan as a way of seeing if they're willing to let go their markup.
1 = No + 10k markup
2 = No + 5k markup
1 = Didn't have the vehicle noted
* these were all hybrid with < $200 in options.

I'll be curious to see if these sell or sit. Been a week already for the one at 10k.

What would be even better than projections is if Ford closed the order banks now and get caught up with production. They can open them again later and not have orders waiting for over a year.

It appears order banks are still open almost a month from the start date. Obviously lots of rollovers are in place from MY23 to MY24 but has anyone seen any initial numbers on the number of MY 24 orders?

Im sure those waiting on rollovers, price increase, interest rate increases, and long wait times have curbed some enthusiasm for new orders.
Here you go: 52,941 MY24 orders in the order bank

I saw that. Demand for Mavericks is dwindling. Ford's price raising is working.
